    Do you really want him to do something that might alter his one-of-a-kind artistry? Think of all of the great writers of the past whose best work might have been lost had they not been a little off kilter. Sometimes you need to sacrifice mental and/or emotional stability for great writing.

    I first read this as Jessica Hahn and was wondering -- what would Jessica Hahn have to do with the Twins game, but then remembered who had written this post and there would probably be a connection when using RB logic and thinking (but alas it was not about Jessica Hahn).

    I heard someone in the last few days -- I believe it was 96.3 -- speculate whether part of reason Mauer was hitting better was because Torii was taking some of the pressure of him in the club house. I think about 90 % of any negative feelings I might have for Torii coming back is how some people in the media genuflect before him. There are worse signings, and he could still have things to offer, but he is not the second coming of some baseball god.

    It is too bad the Astros changed leagues - it could have been a Twins-Astros World Series.

    If they would have been smart enough to hire ChiTown to be the Fox Sports Woman -- they would have hit marketing gold. A lost opportunity.

    I think Perk likes to insert a little drama whenever he can. He is evil that way.

    I am thinking neither ick nor ish would sufficiently cover this. I think a whole new word would need to be created to cover is exponential ish and ickness.

    When is the last time Circus Boy has actually done a CBU? Has all of the power gone to his head, and he no longer feels he needs to get his hands dirty with the real work -- and just bask in the fact that his name and updates are famous world wide?

    What do White Sox fans think of Hawk? As entertaining as he can be for us when things go bad for them, his not quite completely objective reporting and small hints of mental instability must drive some of them nuts.

    Derek Whetmore's tweet: That's it. Twins lose, 10-7. Perhaps more importantly, lose Hughes, Schafer, Fien to injury in the process. Uff da. Three people leaving due to injury - Nolasco already on the DL. Not to state the obvious, but I hope this is not a trend. 13 pages for a daytime weekday thread -- it looks like the game-thread posters are toughing it out through whatever aches and pains they have and posting their tails off (or paying attention to details - whatever the new motto is).

    How often do you have to reprimand Ash from hogging all of the comic books?

    I vaguely remember them talking about him during the All Star Game last year - something about how him walking on water and feeding a whole stadium from a basket that supposedly only contained five hot-dogs and turning the fountain water into beer, but his name escapes me.

    You just need a little faith. There is a lot of speculation that the Lions are going to regress.
