  1. Random observation. I noticed he uses the word "unfair" a lot. I remember my nieces and nephews using that a lot when they were 5 and under. They eventually grew out of it and also were not president of a country at the time. He really does have the mentality of a spoiled child.
  2. Gerrymandering, the neutralization of the Voting Rights Act, making it more difficult to vote in districts that tend to vote democratic all have chipped away and helped the GOP. When you look at how little it would have been to flip WI, MI etc. every bit makes a difference. The Democrats are also bad about being motivated to vote when there is no Presidential candidate to vote for, which has hurt them in the midterms or when they aren't motivated to vote for the Presidential race. The gerrymandering and other issues would not be as effective if they had a better voter turn-out.
  3. The laughing was disturbing.
  4. we can destroy his career... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U37T2UD-GwY
  5. Class all the way around. .https://thinkprogress.org/melania-trump-reveals-plan-to-leverage-presidency-to-ink-multi-million-dollar-endorsement-deals-1999314fb8f1#.iyd2upbx5
  6. This looks fun: I don't think Melania is overly happy about how the election turned out. (Article on Trump's Super Bowl party). http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2017/2/5/14517742/donald-trump-super-bowl-party-wedding-maybe-patriots-vs-falcons
  7. I can;t decide if his writing style reminds me more of Jefferson or Lincoln. Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 25m25 minutes ago The judge opens up our country to potential terrorists and others that do not have our best interests at heart. Bad people are very happy!
  8. I am not sure anyone explained checks and balances to him. At the very least, he needs to go watch the old school house rock episodes that dealt with the government and history. He could probably benefit from the ones on grammar as well. Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 3h3 hours ago What is our country coming to when a judge can halt a Homeland Security travel ban and anyone, even with bad intentions, can come into U.S.?
  9. I don't believe it - I saw all of the mania folders at his press conference that showed his good will of divesting. Plus he had that dynamic attorney read legalese for ten minutes. I am sure that her firm had just been voted best law firm by Russia has no significance in the matter.
  10. Haven't there been some rumors that Bannon and the son-in-law have been a bit at odds? These are a bunch of power-hungry people, who I suspect don't like each other, and many who probably don't like or have any true loyalty to Trump. I am guessing behind the scenes it is a cross between an Roman court circa Caligula and Henry the VIII at his most crazy while various factions tried to jockey for position while trying to manipulate things so their rivals ended up headless.
  11. Maybe his latest tweet is his way of acknowledging that he, Pence, Bannon, KellyAnne, McConnell, Ryan etc. need to leave and stay out of the country. Donald J. TrumpVerified account ‏@realDonaldTrump We must keep "evil" out of our country!
  12. The new media simply needs to quit having Kellyanne on their show -- or flat out call her a liar and quit chuckling at her responses like she is some goofy, desiccated, but harmless neighbor. "Trump’s adviser referenced the ‘Bowling Green massacre’ as a means of justifying the president’s refugee ban. Just one problem: It never happened." http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2017/02/02/kellyanne-conway-appears-to-invent-fake-bowling-green-massacre.html?via=twitter_page http://i.imgur.com/Bnky6il.jpg
  13. It was a golden age of literature when I was in college - Calvin and Hobbes, The Farside, and Bloom County were all at the top of their game.
  14. He just loosened sanctions against the Russian Federal Security Service. Strangely, Russia seems to be the one country he is not trying to bully.
  15. I remember when he tweeted the beatitudes and he was NOT for banning Samaritans from entering Jerusalem. I am not sure if he himself ever talked about his crowd for the Sermon on the Mount being "Huge" and insisted that he pulled in a larger audience than John the Baptist.
  16. At the National Prayer Breakfast this morning he talked about how great he was for the Apprentice and gave a dig at Arnold for the lower ratings. He lives the WWJD with his every action and statement. Will be interesting to see how the Yemen aftermath develops. Sounds like the military is not happy with him.
  17. He is studying now - so I think everything will be alright. Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 35m35 minutes ago Do you believe it? The Obama Administration agreed to take thousands of illegal immigrants from Australia. Why? I will study this dumb deal! And this does no concern me at all - diplomacy in action. Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 1h1 hour ago Iran is rapidly taking over more and more of Iraq even after the U.S. has squandered three trillion dollars there. Obvious long ag
  18. In addition to the Australian call there was some talk that he talked about troops to Mexico to get the bad hombres in his call to their President, although now I am hearing that might be false. It is sad you can't tell what is satire and what is real for him. Regardless, I am beginning to think diplomacy might not be one of his top strengths.
  19. He is too busy embracing what Andrew Jackson stood for.
  20. Preteens sometimes have some impulse control and have better grammar.
  21. I think Devos is the one who might not make it. The recent charges of plagiarism on her application have probably not helped her. I still cannot believe he made Black History month about how the media is mean to him...
  22. There has been some interesting discussion on this thread. A lot of these issues I need to give more thought and time. Excerpt from Trump's Black History Month speech - sadly this is not from the Onion: “You read all about Dr. Martin Luther King a week ago when somebody said I took the statue out of my office. And it turned out that that was fake news,” Trump said. “The statue is cherished. It’s one of the favourite things — and we have some good ones. We have Lincoln, and we have Jefferson, and we have Dr. Martin Luther King. And we have other (sic). But they said the statue, the bust, of Dr. Martin Luther King was taken out of the office. And it was never even touched. So I think it was a disgrace, but that’s the way the press is. It’s very unfortunate.” About Frederick Douglass, the 19th-century slavery abolitionist, writer and speaker, Trump said: “Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job that is being recognized more and more, I notice.”
  23. There have been a few arrests and disappearances over there recently that have been tied to the Trump dossier that was leaked last month. It is curious timing. The Russian issue has seemed to disappear from the headlines, but it seems like follow-up is something that is not done much anymore. Something makes the headlines for a few days, and then the move on to the next distraction and the old story disappears. 24. I would feel better if it was Hobbes who had Trump's ear rather than Bannon or Pence. Of course, with the Trump boys and their desire to make exotic animals as trophies, it might not be a good job for him to take.
  25. Scalia died almost a year ago. I know this is 20-20 hindsight, and they probably figured it was not as important because they thought Hilary would win, but I really wish they would have done more to force the issue of Obama appointing someone. He had 11 months in office after Scalia died. I know McConnell was refusing to do anything, but it seems like that it was accepted a little too easily. Again, probably because they thought it would not matter because Hilary would appoint someone, but did not exactly work out well.
