  1. Umm, they played awful in the second half last week, and needed a miracle to avoid a historic playoff choke. I'd sure hope Zimmer pointed those things out.
  2. According to mlb.com, he's not. And according to twinstrivia.com, he was elected, but not inducted, and is not a member of the Twins HOF. Fox Sports and Strib says the same. Twinkie Town says this: Update: It's been confirmed that it's not just the ceremony, it's also his actual placement in the Twins Hall of Fame. Do you have a link or source for anything that says he's actually in?
  3. Well, we don't have a HOF QB like the Saints and Pats do. A couple defense/ST scores is probably our only chance.
  4. Even Harrison Smith trying to play with both hands around his throat.
  5. Yep, all 53 guys, and the coaching staff in full choke mode now.
  6. The pressure was all over Foles, Hunter and Griffen both decided to try to strip him instead of taking the sack, inexplicable. Also, you forgot: one team can tackle, one can't. One team can cover, one can't, one can coach, one can't, on and on, this is just a full team choke job.
  7. The o line is blocking good enough, IMO. Most of the pressure has been unaccounted blitzes.
  8. Ugh, just ugly all around. Might be time to start accounting for the blitzer? That's three times already a guy has had a free blitz.
  9. He was, but it was front side pressure. Can't make that throw when you know you're going to get hit as you throw. Chuck it into the third row, or take the sack and live another down.
  10. Yeah, to be clear, I like Keenum. I think he's got leadership qualities, and he plays with a chip on his shoulder. But, I think he's probably in the bottom third of the league. I rarely see him make any throws that every QB couldn't make, and I think above average QB could put up some huge numbers with the talent on this offense.
  11. Absolutely awful tackling on that drive. Need to clean that up asap if they want to stay in this one.
  12. I disagree. I think Schumer has done an amazing job. Can only do so much when you're given Case Keenum at QB.
  13. Not many will agree, I'm sure. But, this team has made it this far in spite of Keenum.
  14. Why does it work just fine in football, but isn't viable in baseball?
  15. He combined for a 3.90 FIP over 373 innings across '14 and '15. He definitely teased us a few times over those two seasons.
  16. I'm not sure they'd have him pitch in Rochester in April if he's rehabbing. Ft. Myers or Chattanooga would be more likely.
  17. I guess it boils down to if a person thinks durability is an attribute, or just random luck. I feel it's an attribute, no different than a 95 mph fastball. Not everyone is capable of staying healthy, and I think Burdi is one of those guys. No loss, IMO.
  18. I'm glad they are trying to improve the bullpen. But, I'll believe that it's crowded when I see it on the field. For now, all of these guys, except Reed, have question marks. Including Hildy.
  19. Career .621 OPS against versus lefties. Not bad, but not dominant. I agree, he'll have a place on a team that actually knows how to utilize a LOOGY.
  20. I disagree. That shouldn't be a catch under any rule. He wasn't close to having possession (IMO) before the ball hit the ground.
  21. I'm glad he got paid, and hope he's he for a while. He's a nice utility player to have. That said, I don't agree with anything more than year to year. He's surpassed 1.3 WAR just once in his career. At his best, he's a league average hitter with well below average defense. For his career, he's a significantly below average hitter (89 OPS+), and will be 30 years old when he hits free agency. Not trying to disparage him. I like him, and hope he's around for as long as he's a solid utility player. Just feels unnecessary to go more than year to year. Is anyone really going to give him a big offer at age 30?
  22. He's played 3 seasons of full time ball. If he's still struggling with endurance, that's something I'd be very concerned about, especially at his age.
