  1. This thread seems like us TD posters just broke into our sister's piggy bank and are trying to divvy up the pennies to buy the cheapest candy we can, even if tastes bad.
  2. After watching Rocco manage the Twins for 6 years now it's obvious to me he doesn't have what it takes to lead a team to the kind of success I'd like to see. I'd like to see the Twins go deep into the playoffs on a frequent basis. I'm not expecting the Twins to be the best team each year, but I'd like to have confidence that the manager can guide the team to get the most out of their players when things align such as when the team doesn't have major injury problems. I believe the only way Rocco could lead a team to a world series title is if his roster was head and shoulders above any other team.... that isn't happening with the Twin's organization. It's way past time to try a different manager. The current rate of team success is not cutting it, and it's a lot easier to try a different manager than replacing all the players.
  3. So Rocco gets a "D" which seems like a fair assessment. I could easily be talked into a D- though. I really wonder what grade ownership and the front office gives Rocco this year? Obviously they are the one's that matter going into 2025.
  4. Leaving the MVP vacant is quite unorthodox, but your logic is sound. Perhaps, the 2024 White Sox are the Twins MVP because their ineptitude contributed to the Twins being above .500.
  5. As expected, but not as I wanted. Disappointment is just part of being a life-long Twins fan.
  6. I sure hope with Margot starting today it's not indicative of him being considered for a roster spot next year. That would be very, very sad.
  7. Hey, It seems like I'm in your crew. Can I be the treasurer?
  8. It appears that us posters are more sensitive and testy than usual which is understandable based on this team's colossal collapse this year. This has not been an easy team to support or defend of late.
  9. Unfortunately I'd guess you are correct.
  10. Good point and it will probably be the same priority again next year.
  11. I hope you're correct and it can be fixed before next year.
  12. Yes, and most of the rest of the team look like they aren't playing baseball very well either!
  13. I don't think that the FO or Rocco will get fired regardless of the outcome of the remaining 6 games.
  14. I don't blame Margot for playing in these games. I'm pretty sure someone else determines the roster, and someone else decides who plays and when.
  15. A spoonful of bromide helps the pulse rate go down.
  16. I know it's too late this year, but I sure hope they try someone else next year. But if I had to bet, I say it will be status quo.
  17. Unfortunately, you'll need to wake up from your (and mine) dream.
  18. That's disappointing... but you could kind of feel it during most of the game.
  19. Don't you need to hit an HR first?
  20. I wish there was some way the Twins could get Wallner more PAs the rest of the season. But, I guess I can't think of any way they could.
