    I think its clear Miranda still stinks, lets uhhh stop with this guy. He doesnt work counts, cant play D, doesnt have much power....and doesnt hit for average. 7 Pitch innings against Skubal is going to result in a 7 inning shut out.

    Buxton doesnt hit with RISP and doesnt advance runners. That is this year and every year. This isnt a new issue. Dont try and mask it. He struck out with after a AK triple yesterday too. Its a massively issue. If you want to bat 3rd. You have to have plate discipline. He doesnt have it. That is a fact. He doesnt walk and he strikes out a lot.

    Buxton with RISP is one of the most gutless hitters in baseball All these years and he hasnt bothered to learn plate discipline with RISP. Like at all. Selfish teammate swinging at everything. Get him out of hte middle of the order And please for the love of god DFA Margot.

    This is not a good team. With injuries its closer to flat out bad. Ill keep saying it. If you having the corpse of Carlos Santana batting every day in the middleish part of your order. You clearly failed to build a roster Dude has been washed for years. Routine DP was saved by their SS. Vazquez lol. Being left with Margot vs a righty in the 9th and tying run on, malpractice. Brutal roster made worse by brutal platooning. Lets pinch hit for our youth in the 7th not let them get reps. So guys that no other teams want, bat with game on the line. Brilliant

    umm no?? Is this your first year following baseball? Hes 38. He hasnt been good since 2019(outlier year). The only teams that wanted him last year were the Pirates and Brewers(horrendous offense anything is a upgrade). Find me a good offensive playoff team clamoring for Carlos Santana over the last 5 years, you wont.

    Ill say this If the corpse of Carlos Santana is going to be an everyday hitter and in the middle of the order. Our ceiling massively plummets.

    Yeah probably not. But its more so because Lugo isnt super in control so far, its April weather and its early in the year. Just make him come to you. 3 of the 4 hitters who saw mroe than 2 pitches against him, got the count to 3 balls or walked.

    This ump has been great for us too. A lot of close balls that he is calling balls. If we'd stop expanding the zone on pitches that aint close and hit some of the strikes wed be fine.

    Minnesota sports just wilt when it matters. Royce and Correa with absolutely gutless ABs. One is a rookie the other is a vet. Neither had any clue what they were doing. The one meatball either of them got was the pitch that Correa didnt swing at. Just incredible.

    Thats the thing though. Lopez and Ryan are much better with Jeffers as their catcher. Gray has been elite with both. Hes slightly better with Vazquez but that difference was 6 months ago in April. Hes been really good with Jeffers for a while too. SO why would we start a far worse hitter when we have zero need to?

    Huh?? Buxtons contract is cheap as **** lol. And the reason he had to take said deal is becauase of his injuries. Also he wasnt pre Arb. We signed him to that deal when he was like 28 so his years go into his mid 30s. Which is what we could avoid by locking up Royce now.

    It starts Saturday not Friday. And they would still have programming through the next week. And ESPN had the rights last year. Season shouldnt be ending on a Sunday. Youre going to get weekday games regardless And also starting WC F-S like last year is perfect for building intrigue and momentum for the playoffs.

    One thing that I dont get though is why they didnt do this season just like last year. End the season on a Wednesday. Start the WC on Friday and play that for a full weekend. The dumbest thing baseball does is have their final day of regular season on a football Sunday. Like thats the mental part. Afternoon games for playoffs are going to have to be a thing, they always are.
