  1. Oh snap. Deficitus Maximus has entered the room.
  2. Nobody knows that they will. But almost everyone agrees that they have to be given the opportunity to try.
  3. In an unsurprising announcement, the Twins recalled OF Austin Martin from the IL and sent OF Gabby Gonzalez to the Saints.
  4. Royce in Vegas smells like a jackpot. Don't know why but I feel that. Can we maybe finagle Langeliers if we package Royce Kremer and say, Gabby or ERod?
  5. The elimination of (in this order) 1) Larnach; 2) Clemens as an OF and 3) Martin as a starter would open a door for ERod. The lack of options could be a detriment to a potential trade partner as well. Bring ERod up in April if he's deemed worthy, invent a March injury.. the possibility is there for him if we're creative. There is also the chance Jenkins Roden and or Martin starts '27 as a Saint.. Implied is that Wallner gets traded.
  6. The impending cutting of deadwood (it is impending isn't it? Larnach is a start,) and influx of arms like Rojas and Abel) The appearance of up to five young players by 2028 (hope two of Jenkins, Kaelen, Emmy, Vahn, Houston) become stars) and continued development of Keaschall and Lee. I think we all knew it wasn't gonna be a great year this spring. Labor strife notwithstanding I'm feeling better about 27 and much better about 28.
  7. Trade Lewis or give him a chance to make the team out to spring training. I'd take Buck or Bell as DH ahead of that. Non tender Larnach. Frees up another single digit uniform number for the young kids. 😜 Bailey Bailey Bailey. It's silly to cut a SP who can still start. Especially when you consider the reliance we are putting on Abel and Pablo (and maybe Festa) all recovering from devastating injuries. Kremer and Zebby.. I'll take Ober's experience as an almost equal. Leaves us with Taj and Joe (hope he's still here) and likely a less inning-managed Prielipp and perhaps Rojas. We are gonna need Ober at least for April and May. .
  8. A Clemens, Bell, Keaschall, Lee who have largely been durable (Keaschall's HBP broke bone last year gets a flier) vs a Kirilloff, Buxton, Ryan, Lewis perpetually on the verge of breakdown gives the manager one less thing to worry about. Sometimes it is dumb luck. Sometimes it's smart attention to what am athletes body is saying. Say what you want about Yoendrys Gomez, Taylor Rogers and Travis Adams. They've answered the call most every time they've been needed.
  9. Seeing an expected success story fail was more disheartening (on top of the right sizing comments before it even began) for fans than either of the subsequent years. We are still writing the 2026 story. I think most fans believe we have turned some kind of proverbial corner or curve.
  10. Y'know I wrote Vahn in them I erased him, it seems too soon. Depends also whom else we have available to catch through FA. There's Khadim Diaw too.
  11. It cures a lot. And it gave you and your dad a great memory. That's why we watch.
  12. Yeah I hope he's ok, I wonder where he got off to. What do they call it in church circles.. pilgrimage?
  13. Hey, if we start out next year throwing Jenkins Culpepper Emmy Houston Keaschall at them, there's plenty of room for a Buxton a Bell a farmer in the dell. Spend on a vet. Jeffers? Langeliers? Lee and Clemens will give stability and continuity. If two of the five turn out to be great hitters and or defenders and two of them serviceable, I'm very good with that.
  14. Well the back to back HRs was a nice lil sumptin
  15. Ryan Leaf never is far from my trading card buying mind. Happily I have a few nice Mannings too.
  16. Goodbye Comerica. Next year it'll be called something else.
  17. I'm sorry. Ahhhh Double play. I'll do better against the Yankees and Guards. It's easy to hate on them.
  18. Is it even fair to imagine that Royce has screwed up my hopes for Jenkins?
  19. Not likely. It's ok, somehow I'm at peace with this.
  20. Wow three in the wheelhouse to Walker and whiff
