  1. I don't mind the bunt. I do find it interesting that they had him bunt considering Lovelady hasn't been able to find the strikezone yet.
  2. Great response by Sim! 4 innings and under 50 pitches.
  3. Two good plays in the outfield have kept the game in hand. They should have not thrown home. That cost us the second run.
  4. The replay looked like that Martin just overran the base and got hung up. It didn't look like the 3rd base coach sent him, but I could have missed something.
  5. Fully agree. I'm hoping the couple of days off will help clear his head and he gets some extra time in the cage to work on things. They may send him down at some point. I would guess if they did that then they have a plan for him and not just sending him down because he is stinking up the joint.
  6. I can listen to the radio broadcast from the MLB app. I did that on Sunday when they were on Peacock.
  7. My hope for Lewis is that he doing a lot of cage work and he is working on some mechanics at the plate. I foresee him in the starting lineup Friday night in Cleveland. Just looked it up. The stupid game is on Apple TV.
  8. That was a terrible send, especially for Clemens. Maybe Buxton could have beat that out, but not Clemens.
  9. Nice job to hit it where they ain't! Nice defense by the Nats to keep the run for scoring.
  10. Remember, we did just trade for a reliever from the Rays that will join us in Cleveland on Friday. The corresponding roster move is what I'm afraid of. I'm dreaming it's finally Garcia, but someone earlier tonight suggested Klein since he hasn't pitched much since being called up.
  11. I think I need to save this meme to my computer. I think I'm going to be using it a lot this season.
  12. Somewhere deep in the depths of the bullpen, LaTroy Hawkins in curled up in a ball rocking back and forth wondering what he did in life to choose this path.
  13. My theme songs for bullpen pitchers continue. In comes Garcia:
  14. But our recent old friend Zak Kent is currently warming up in the Nationals bullpen. If he pitches as well for them as he did us, we still may be in this game!
  15. The max is 13 pitchers on a roster, subtract the 5 starters, and you get a max of 8 pitchers. Now that was in the day before Common Core math so who knows today! 🙂
  16. At least Topa cleans up after himself. He had to give up the gopher ball because the bases were too full. Once they were empty, he could get to work.
  17. This should be the theme song played for the remainder of the season when the bullpen comes into the game.
  18. This may be a contrarian position. If this is Ober roughed up, I will take it. We are still in the game, and he gave us 5+ innings.
  19. Didn't think about that. You are likely right, sadly enough.
  20. Interesting, with the expectation of their new acquisition from Tampa going to join the team in Cleveland. Maybe this is the last we will see of Garcia?
  21. We are still better off paying him $10 mil to get season-ending surgery than to pay him $33 mil and still have season-ending surgery. Plus, from a roster standpoint, we are now finding out what we have on the team. It may not be what we were hoping for, but bad answers are still better than no answers.
