  1. More like Animal from the Muppets when he crashes the drum set.
  2. Minnesota must not be a desirable location for umpires. I don't believe she is on an actual crew, so she is just filling in all the time. All the regular umps take their weekend off when it comes to going to Minnesota.
  3. I left to go watch my nephew and come back to this! 1. Someone here left their sentry post and let Lawrence out of the bullpen gate! Whoever was supposed to be on guard duty is going to get fired. 2. It has been 0 days since we have given an opposing player their first home run of the season. 3. Prielipp got to learn how to wear a loss and eat some innings for the team. He eventually did good enough to give us a chance to win. His performance needs some improvement, but his drive is there. 4. I'll say it again to the Twins pitching staff. Some of those baseballs had homes and families to go back to. Please try to allow them to stay in the park so they have a chance to be reunited.
  4. Good for Clemens. Getting to hit in the power spot as a lefty against a LHP. He has definitely earned it.
  5. Alright Connor, you need to remember those baseballs have names and families they would like to return to. Please treat them accordingly by not allowing them to be sent into space.
  6. Inspired by the article recounting the game, I have conceived my own short story on the ending of this game in the form of a Greek epic. Full disclosure: I have never taken a creative writing class. After watching our hero, Joe Ryan, fight with the determination of Achilles through six innings, is finally retired to the bench while our glorious heroes fight on. The team, inspired by his gritty performance, fight back to take the lead through an infield single, a booming double, and a sacrifice fly. Shelton spins his Bullpen Wheel of Regrets, and it comes up Rogers. Rogers gets into trouble and Orze is brought in and quickly gives up the lead. Now our heroes are down 4-7 with only 9 outs to go. Shelton sends the Cardinals his version of the Trojan horse, the Bullpen Wheel of Regrets to the Cardinals dugout. The Cardinals, surprised by the sudden receipt of the gift, spin the wheel, and it came up Stanek out to the mound to face our motley crew of heroes. The most unlikely of heroes in 2026, Kody Clemens, greets Stanek with a 3-run home run to tie the game! Shelton goes with his trusty pitcher Gomez to get the eighth. He wasn't up to the task and gives up the lead. The Cardinals didn't re-spin the Bullpen Wheel of Regrets and leaves Stanek in the game. Our heroes send up the forlorn candidates in Lewis and Lee, which both hit booming home runs to reclaim the lead. Finally, Morris comes in and completes the improbable comeback in a game which will go down in the annals of the 2026 season as one of the greatest games! Epilogue: All I wanted out of this is to use my coined term for the Twins bullpen: Bullpen Wheel of Regrets. Thank you taking the time to read my saga. 🙂
  7. I understand. It was a bit tongue in cheek as it seemed like everything mentioned in the article came true for Morris tonight. I hope he can continue it through his next outings.
  8. Did Morris read the Twins Daily article on him earlier today? Seems like he listened to the article. 🤫
  9. @Aggies7 was complaining earlier in the game that he wanted a clean inning. Sometimes complaining does work. Good job on the complaint front!
  10. Uh Oh. We now have a lead to protect. Who on earth is going to come in for the 9th. Time to spin the Bullpen Wheel of Regrets!
  11. Speaking of home runs. James Outman just hit his first home run of the season, for the Tigers.
  12. We may have just found our Slim for tonight. Welcome back Royce Lewis!
  13. Tonight's game was the hope we could get a win this weekend. We are now depending on Slim and None. Slim is nursing his wounds and None skipped town.
  14. Not until Culpepper eats at the finest restaurant in Toledo: Tony Packo's.
  15. I know it was considered a wild pitch, but Caratini could have at least made an attempt to block it.
  16. I just turned on the game. Looks like we got ourselves a pitcher's duel.
  17. Another name that fits your criteria: Sandy Koufax. Prior to his 1961 season, his lowest ERA in a full season was 3.91 and as high as 4.91 with a WHIP of 1.619 in 1956. His average SO/BB ratio during that time was 1.70, nearly a full strikeout lower than Hill at 2.65K/BB. I had to look up the numbers but had heard this recently perusing though a mini doc about how Koufax defended a young Nolan Ryan because he went through the same issues early in his career.
  18. To answer the question posed, here is the order that I would keep the list of players mentioned provided that all of them are supposed to be defensive specialists. 1. Kreidler - Mainly due to his ability to play CF if Buxton needs a day off. Unless the Twins are willing to promote Fedko while Jenkins, Roden, and the remainder of the patients in the hospital ward come back quickly as I do not know how the rehab is going for any of them. 2. Gray - As previously mentioned, he is the only player of the three who can provide a platoon option. 3. Arcia - This leaves him as the odd man out. Kreidler or Lewis could fill in for Lee. They want to give Lewis as much time at 1st or 2nd as they can. Clemens can field 1st or 2nd and we can even use Bell in a pinch at 1st. One more idea not asked in the article. If they are thinking on a Keaschall reset, they should do it now. Let's hypothesize there is a real trade market for Clemens. Considering the number of positions Clemens can cover, they will need Keaschall to cover 2nd if he is ever traded. They should try to reset him now, before the trade deadline, so he can come back and be the regular 2nd baseman like they have done with Lewis.
  19. This certainly doesn't help with Laweryson being this terrible. I would guess he was expected to go 2 innings and save the bullpen.
  20. Matthews is still pitching because the bullpen is as dry as LA's fire hydrants before a fire. If you can believe it, they labeled the Lewis misplay as a hit.
