  1. NJ native on the mound for the Mets...
  2. I'm calling it now - Gasper with a pinch hit, walk-off homer.
  3. That looked pretty close in slow motion. Surprised the Mets didn't challenge it.
  4. Yup. He's playing out of his mind right now.
  5. That AB was too reminiscent of last season, Julien...
  6. Fair point. No one was beating down his door.
  7. Falvey is as a big, if not bigger, of a problem as Rocco is. This roster leaves a lot to be desired and it's not entirely the result of the Pohlad's being cheap - Falvey's in a time warp - loves guys with + power, little to no athleticism and below average with the glove - he would've killed it with the Tigers in 1993.
  8. Mets' line up is really top heavy. Not sure why they played hardball with Alonso this winter. They absolutely need him.
  9. Color me confused. Correa's said the wrist issue has been on-going since last year? If true, I don't see how he avoids an IL stint. Might as well get ahead of it and bring someone up.
  10. With the above said, there's NO CHANCE that Rocco is fired in-season. Only way that happens is if Falvey is also fired in-season and right now, the Pohlad's don't seem overly concerned with how the Twins are playing.
  11. Rocco is not a scapegoat. If you want to argue that his hands are somewhat tied and that the Twins would struggle because of poor roster construction - no matter the manager - I suppose that's reasonable. But, if want to evaluate his overall resume as Twins' manager, I don't see any compelling reasons for keeping him around - the collapse in 2024 and the lesser discussed collapse in 2022 would have been enough for most managers to get fired.
  12. Have to start winning series. String together a couple of those and you can be sniffing .500 by the end of the month. Don't love the Twins when the opponent throws a 'bullpen' game but the offense has to cobble some runs together and Festa has to be sharp.
  13. Win is a win. Now get another one tomorrow!
  14. Left wrist 'soreness' for Correa...
  15. If they do have an open spot on the 40, maybe it's Mike Ford. Can DH and frees up Julien and Castro to play exclusively in the field?
  16. Hopefully not a hamet (sp?) bone for Correa.
