  1. Gargantuan sized ifs...Lewis, Lee, Keaschall, Wallner. Buck staying healthy. There's a path to a team that is over .500 but the Twins never catch a break so, under is more likely.
  2. Julien seemed to develop the yips. It was like he was afraid to swing the bat. Miranda, and I could be wrong, seemed to have some focus or dedication issues and wasn't really locked in. I think the best part of this move is an open spot on the 40 man. Hopefully a relief pitcher is in coming.
  3. In 2023, I never would have thought Julien's career would have went the way it did. Also surprised on Ohl. I know his stuff may not play, but I felt like he settled in once the Twins started using him for one inning rather than multiple innings. Oh well. Hopefully the Twins aren't done addressing the bullpen.
  4. Identify the right players / prospects... Get those players / prospects in the trade... Develop those players / prospects once you get in the farm system... A lot of things need to break right for the Twins to win a Joe Ryan trade and I'm not really confident in Falvey to pull it off, nor am I confident in the way the Twins develop their prospects.
  5. This front office has an uncanny ability to double down on mistakes.
  6. There was a time when a player like Lee would be viewed with optimism going into the upcoming season. He has one full major league season on his resume. Analytics have really changed the game, for better or worse. He certainly has work to do but I think it is too early to think he can't be better or that he didn't make strides in the off-season.
  7. Yup. Two years of team control. Good news for sure.
  8. Yeah, wondering the same.
  9. The Twins have upside - Lee, Keaschall, Lewis, Wallner - if those four could stay healthy and reach or come close to their respective ceilings, it will be a competitive team. Admittedly, it is a giant IF.
  10. In no particular order... Cole Sands Kody Funderburk Justin Topa Taylor Rogers Eric Orze That's five. Need to get to eight. Presuming Ohl is one of those.
  11. Question for TD - what's the consensus on Pierson Ohl? Seems like he got better as he got more innings last season - could he potentially turn into a mid-to-high leverage reliever in 2026?
  12. For the love of all that is holy, will they address the bullpen anytime soon?!
  13. I guess between Gray, Arcia, Brujan, Kreidler, if they all make it to spring training, they have covered themselves for the inevitable injuries to Lewis and Lee.
  14. Maybe I'm being too short-sighted or pessimistic, but I don't understand why you sign Caratini when you have Jeffers / Jackson and arguably the worst, or at least one of the worst, bullpens in baseball. If payroll constraints still exist, and I suspect they do, having that much $$$ tied up in the catching position is rather strange to me.
  15. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/01/twins-to-acquire-tristan-gray.html Why?
  16. The payroll limitations are what they are. But they are compounded by poor roster construction. When the bullpen is as bad as it is, you can't have that much money tied up in catcher. Teams in the division are athletic. The Twins double down on being slow and having shaky defense with Bell and Ragaman. I have no idea what this front office is doing. And neither do they.
  17. If the Twins trade Jeffers, I don't have any confidence that they will 'win' the trade - so hopefully, this is just a rumor and nothing more.
  18. I can't believe Sano's only 32.
  19. That really is one gigantic word salad!
  20. I'm highly skeptical about that part of it...
  21. There have been some crazy theories on the debt. One such theory I read on social media - the debt was the byproduct of the Carlos Correa contract, lol. The odds of that debt being attributable solely to baseball - slim to none, IYAM.
