    I think if the Gallo/Polanco/Buxton trifecta is stable, and Larnach and Kiriloff improve, and Correa does his gradual heat-up, yes. I think the current win pace is sustainable. Then you get periodic hot streaks from guys like Kepler or whoever, I see it as definitely 90+ wins.

    I'm going to be worried about this more as we approach September. The operators affecting that opinion will be Buxton's sustained health, and Taylor's offense because with that number of Ks, a couple of dips could start looking kind of ugly. That said, his defense is such that we can sustain some sub-standard CF offense. My brother and I debated yesterday if Buxton might be playing CF in more meaningful games/playoffs to allow for a big bat at CF and DH where Taylor could be subbed in for someone defensively and move Buxton to DH?. I guess my fear would be getting him reps in CF while minimizing risk of injury. As others have noted, I'd suspect Baldelli is just happy to have the offense clicking and there's no reason to fix what ain't presently broke.

    This is a heart over head take but I kind of don't want to throw him to the wolves again, start wise. I was listening to the radio (was at work) and Rocco was talking about how surprised they were by the quality of his bullpen session... Is that blowing smoke or is that like a fault in how we evaluate bullpen sessions? I don't want to overreact because he's been the worst pitcher but something about Maeda's last start felt climactic.
