  1. We have a gem of a stadium, great summer weather (usually) and realistic ticket and concession prices (check other teams). For these reasons and many more, going to the ballpark should a true summer pleasure. Don't let your feelings about ownership keep you from enjoying the "Great American Pastime."
  2. I keep seeing that the Twins need "professional at bats." Baseball has a huge random component. If you disagree, check out this year's post-season stats for "professional hitters" and former MVPs Betts and Freeman for LA or Acuna or Olson for ATL.
  3. Allison was in the alley with Boswell trying to calm him down, Boswell kicked him in the balls, Martin intervened and punched out Boswell. This is from Addison's lips at Southtown bowl many years ago. Martin was having an affair (to put it mildly) with Howard Fox's wife. Fox face did not fare well. This was fairly common knowledge around town at the time. I believe Don Riley may have obliquely referred to it in one of his columns. Confirmed to me by a Frat brother's mother, who was BFF with Mrs. Fox.
  4. Polanco is gone after this season, 2024 contract vests w/550 PAs, he has 189. Julien is one of several ready for majors who play infield, Lewis, Lee, Miranda, Martin. All cheaper and with minor league options unlike Polanco or Gordon who is also gone. Kiriloff has been their 1B of the future for 3 years, Julien doesn't profile. Trades for pitching from strength possible in winter.
  5. It is obvious from this article and the ensuing comments that the professionals in the Twins management and coaches who see Pagan every day and have access to immense piles of information of all kinds have no idea what they are doing with regards to Pagan. Thank goodness the fine people on this website none of whom see Pagan every day, have never seen a bullpen session, attend few or no games in person have the knowledge that the professionals seem to be lacking. If Sheldon Cooper is reading this....Yes, Sheldon that is Sarcasm.
