    Honestly, wouldn't touch Stanton with a ten foot pole. Terrible. I guess standards have dropped.

    If he hit with a real avg, he might have more than 30+ rbi. He's just not a good hitter. Connects once in a blue moon and that's it. Don't want him.

    Couldn't agree more. What's funny is when fans bit** when he strikes out with the bases loaded. Leaves a guy on third with less than 2 out. That's what a .230 avg gets you. Yep, we need more like him.

    Wallner does not offer enough to survive with a .230 avg. Look at his overall stats. What does an 800 OPS give you? I will also bet he doesn't end with an .800 OPS unless the pitching down the stretch is less than MLB level.

    .230+ avg is pathetic. His OPS is consistent with a double every 4 AB. If he was a .280 hitter, I would listen to you. He is part of the huge problem, not an answer to it.

    For some reason Wallner is the darling of the fan base. Don't have a clue why. Over hyped and under performing. He can't seem to play himself off the roster no matter how bad he is. Before reading this article, I compared him to Sano. Sano 716 AB, 43 HR, 118 RBI, .249 BA. Wallner 765 AB, 49HR, 123 RBI, .238 BA to start careers. Why are we so high on Wallner? Minnesota kid, that's why.

    He would definitely set the major league record in strikeouts. And might lead the league in solo homers.

    Rocco has a free pass into next year. Even if they don't win another game it will be blamed on the roster.

    Wallner needs to be gone. Hits a home run every blue moon, then strikes out for a week. Fringe MLB player at best. Noone would want him.

    Have you been watching the little league world series? I will take most of them coaches over RB as manager. I'm not sure RB could coach little league. Maybe he can teach them how to a spit.

    I guess I get a kick out of all the comments about how we had a fire sale to save money blah blah blah. Our team was terrible!! NOT ONE player we traded is worth fretting over, including Varland. It is actually a breath of fresh air to get rid of the dead weight and play the youngsters. I would rather watch this group of players rather than what we traded.

    I see your point. I guess I was just so happy that they gutted this roster. I don't know if another GM could or would have done any different or better at the trade deadline. I'm not saying Falvey is even the number one reason for failure. The owner and Baldelli would be my first choices, then Falvey.

    If i was buying this team, I would have given the green light to trade everyone on the team. Time to start over fresh. New owner, new GM, new manager, new roster.

    If I was the one working on buying the Twins, (ya right), I would have wanted Falvey to do exactly what he did. I would have given him my blessing to dump as many of the jokers on the roster he could for high rated prospects. I would rather start over with a new roster than the over paid primadanas that were traded.
