    Exactly. It's not like he hit 50 HR with 120 rbi with a .350 avg through the 100 games. His production was mediocre.

    If you have read my posts, I said we need an upgrade at the 4 and 5 spot. Not hard to figure out.

    I don't really like it. Our bullpen is pathetic the way it is. Why weaken it more? Can't trust this front office to bring in top notch relievers.

    I haven't given up on him either. But he isn't ready for a rotation spot with an avg of 4 2/3 innings per start. He definitely needs to work on multiple things, especially location. He taxes our bullpen every start. And we saw how inept our BP was. Festa is in the same boat. We need 2 reliable starters added to our big 3. We can't have another year like this year.

    Your first 3 ok. Paddack and SWR no way, unless you want a repeat of this year. We have to do better, cmon.

    If we have to rely on Paddack next year, we are asking for the same results as this year. Haven't we learned anything? I absolutely cringe when people keep bringing up Paddack! If we aren't trying to get someone better than that, throw in the towel now.

    Let's say $50 mil. That's about what it's going to take to fix this dumpster fire. Also includes Roccos salary after he gets fired.

    If Pohlad does not improve this rostor by spending more money, yes Pohlad, we as a state HAVE to stay away from Target Field. Do we want another less than mediocre team again next year? The season would be a waste of time and money spent by fans.

    I agree with you 100%. However the problem is the front office doesn't agree.

    I don't think one person could have covered up the many many flaws and issues this team had this year. Is there 1 aspect of this team we can be pleased with? Clutch hitting, rotation, bullpen, defense, health, managerial decisions, acquisitions etc, etc. This team has a long road back to where it left off last year and lightyears away from being elite.

    We are celebrating a .333 OBP with 18 HR and 56 RBI? Is there any wonder we ended up in 4th place in the Norris?

    Baldelli is wayyy over his head. He would be a good little league coach for fundamental work. His game managing is terrible. He might also think of buying the strat o matic baseball game, there he can manage all 30 teams and make all the blunders he wants to. Only bad thing is they only give you so many players cards, so he would have to cut down on his platooning in the 3rd inning.

    The scary part, this team is more than 1 year or 1 move away from being a contender. They took a few major steps back this year. 1. Starting pitching has maybe two #2 starters on their best days. After that it's a crap shoot. We will need to bolster the SP rotation with at least two reliable starters. 2. We saw what the minors have to offer. Not much there. Lee showed nothing for the most part, suspect in the field. Martin, did ok, no position for him. Festa, SWR, and Matthew's not MLB ready. SWR is what he is, Festa and Matthew's need to grow and learn from this past year. 3. Position players, for the most part, could upgrade at 6 of them. We know that won't happen with the right purse strings, and as mentioned, nothing in the minors ready to fill in of we are being realistic. Is Jenkins ready to be a savior? Prob not yet. 4. The bullpen? Complete disaster and unreliable. Have a few decent arms to build on. Sands, Duran and Jax are the only keepers. 5. With all this to fix, we are years away and may never get there if the owner, front office and manager stay the same. I for one will wait to see what happens before I invest any more time and money into this franchise.

    Good teams do what needs to be done. Tigers and Royals winning when they have to. They are not going to let the Twins back in it with 3 games to go.

    63 y/o used to be die hard fan. Not so much anymore. The organization has taken the joy out of it for me. Cannot deal with Rocco, don't even like looking at him in the dugout with his 0 personality. But, I DO remember Bombo. He had his moments.

    Somebody will have to go. Pohlad probably knows it can't be status quo going into next year. It probably depends on who is tighter with the owner determining who stays. It could be one of the 3 going, both Falvey and Lavine or all 3. Will be interesting to see what happens, but I won't be checking everyday. Apathy has set in with this old boy.
