  1. I didn't realize until Royce's injury that a strain is actually a muscle tear, I always thought it was just a worse pulled muscle, hearing grade 2 strains like his is up to half the muscle tissue torn was quite the surprise
  2. Provus said right oblique strain, Duran was guessed at a month with about the same injury so not looking good
  3. Based on previous Twins I have to assume starting daily until at least the all star break then maybe by September just a defensive replacement
  4. I could be wrong but I thought most of the write ups on him post trade was that he was stretched as a COF, so while 3 errors probably isn't how bad he actually he is, he seems destined for DH duties or at the very least never finishing a game in the field
  5. I'm not opposed to Margot batting for Kepler as he looks totally lost at the plate, but does that really mean we should be leading off with Margot? There are like 7 other guys in the lineup I'd rather have get more at bats than him
  6. Looks like the Twins site said its a triceps strain so I would guess probably 2-3 weeks if it isn't a higher grade strain, but if it was I would have expected the 60 day IL in that case
  7. One other thing that the current situation seems to be out of alignment for me is that AAA has the automatic zone (or challenges if its a certain set of days because its baseball and there always have to be weird rules) and young players coming up seem to have a very good idea of the strike zone because its far more consistent in the minors. Then you watch Wallner and Julien and Lewis all struggle with the inconsistencies in the MLB when they take pitches that they know are balls and have been for most of their professional careers turn ambiguous. It's been in the minors long enough I think the MLB needs to decide to bring it up or ditch it entirely. No sense having a game called in a completely different way for all these players in a league that's supposed to be preparing them for the MLB.
  8. Hey we made contact twice in a row with runners in scoring position that counts right?
  9. Having the strike zone extended 8 inches in every direction with the twins inability to hit a beach ball is a bad combo
  10. The contact play has to be my absolute least favorite base running decision, if you don't have Buxton speed no MLB infielder is going to struggle to throw the ball 100 feet to home
  11. That's illegal, he's getting cut tomorrow
  12. I need the vomit emoji reaction for this hahaha
  13. what a quote from Provus "I don't blame Rocco for trying the bunt, Margot hasn't been making great contact so far" Maybe, and hear me out here, DON'T PICH HIT WITH THE GUY THEN
  14. watching Margot get out all year for Julien is going to kill me
  15. For the most part I think he's been good. I miss Bremer but that's probably just him being the only commentator I've ever experienced. There's some moments where I think he gets a little too vocal but I imagine that's from being on radio before.
  16. I don't know if I'd blame a lot of it on Jeffers, Paddock is missing the set up spot by 1-3 feet on a good chunk of pitches. Hard to catch an MLB caliber arm who can't throw it anywhere near where he's supposed to.
  17. and this is why adding Margot and Santana as your only position player adds is super depressing
  18. I get the splits favor Farmer there but man every part of me hates that swap every time we do it
  19. we put that in the book as a safety squeeze right?
  20. there we go just like 10 more walks in a row, even the Twins can score that way
