  1. Fair point. I was only picturing the end of career Gallo and his home run or nothing production for the Twins.
  2. I’m hanging on just to see double digits
  3. Just another embarrassing manifestation of this organization ignoring important parts of the game. Huge lead and jump off of 1st with a LEFTY on the mound,
  4. Wallner looks pretty clueless most ABs. I want the best for him, but I think right now that’s in St. Paul.
  5. Remember that one month a couple seasons ago when Vazquez hit league average? Yeah, good times……
  6. Sabato could be a lightning in a bottle thing. I’m game. Sadly Clemons has played Julien back into the conversation. I’d rather not.
  7. Didn’t Miranda hurt himself shopping at Target this year? That just about did it for me.
  8. Sheesh- That 3rd strike that Vazquez swung at looked like it 9 inches above the strike zone.
  9. It’s refreshing to hear Ploufe point out the lackadaisical play by the Twins. I wonder what theoretically happens when that filters back to the Manager.
  10. When I see that trident in the M’s dugout….
  11. Ober is just chucking batting practice these days
  12. Larnach stood watching strike 3, ump doesn’t agree.
  13. I’ve been waiting for someone to compare Wallner to Joey Gallo. I wish it weren’t true but he’s starting to look that way.
  14. I think there’s logic to your viewpoint. If Falvey, FO and Baldelli are truly “dead men walking “ in the sense that they’re out as soon as the team is sold, what realistic incentive do they have to abandon their grand plans and re-tool the roster/organization for a future philosophy?
  15. I’m in the same camp. The smugness is such a huge turn off. This organization is just so much smarter than the average fan. The product on the field completely disavows major elements of the game of baseball, and they make no apologies for it. It seems like they double down on every flawed approach to roster construction and in game decision making. As big a fan and student of the game I am, I’m not spending any of my pension dollars on this mess.
  16. I want to believe that but isn’t he signed/getting paid through next season?
  17. In 2 innings it will effectively become a home game for the Brewers.
  18. Yeah it counts as one loss, but it feels like it should count for 3. Getting to be a pattern. This team is non competitive for long stretches and in most facets of the game. In a different market and with ownership that had any semblance of expectation heads would have rolled by now. At this pace the attendance is going to crater.
  19. I’d like to think that jobs would be on the line after this stretch of putrid baseball, but I’m guessing that it’s business as usual.
