  1. I’d like to see better at bats against this lefty. We’re up to 6Ks already thru 4 innings; 5 plus the bogus one on France.
  2. Yeah, probably, but that awful looking swing at the low and away pitch looked too familiar.
  3. Lewis back to the clueless plate appearances apparently
  4. Butler flashing leather out there in right…
  5. Butler a much better hitter than fielder. He’s made two of the worst throws home from right field tonight. I’d run all day on his arm.
  6. Twins were 0-11 since the 2nd inning before Clemens hit.
  7. We need to string some decent plate appearances. We’ve done nothing since the 2nd inning and we’re about to get into our BP in the 5th inning.
  8. I like our chances but you never know. I’m sticking around to see if Alcala gets in the game.
  9. I think I’ve seen enough of Alcala to know he’s never likely going to be consistently trusted in “high leverage “ situations. So what’s the point of dragging it out? I know all about the tantalizing “stuff”, but who knows where it’s going half the time? I’d rather learn something about the other pitchers in our organization than continue to be held hostage by Alcala’s “potential “. If he goes somewhere else and is successful, good for him.
  10. One of the best starting pitching performances of the year. Too bad it couldn’t motivate our hitters.
  11. Should have happened already. Some bad luck involved, but mostly needs to work on mechanics and that shouldn’t be happening in an everyday MLB lineup. At least Rocco has been dropping him down the order but it’s just painful watching the guy these days.
  12. Agree. I think him getting right begins with a low pressure extended “rehab” stint in St. Paul. Nothing good is happening with him up with the big club. And I fear the longer it goes on the worse it’s going to get.
  13. Jeffers with a sad AB. Light/shadows may be tough for batters right now.
