  1. Crisply played game tonight.
  2. I think the FO was hoping that he’d be this years MAT, when needed. I’m not seeing it.
  3. Wow that Greene AB looked familiar……
  4. Damn, they wasted that brilliant sac bunt.
  5. Is that Todd Jones on the mound?
  6. I’ll admit I was OK with the Farmer signing last year, then he got beaned and it was hard to tell if he was going to contributing much. I think I have my answer now.
  7. Vazquez, designated sac bunter. There, I found something for him!
  8. Buxton, best 2 strike hitter!
  9. Justin subtly blames face mask for miscommunication in outfield.
  10. Soft contact beats strike outs. Every time.
  11. That soft pop up for Castro counts as improvement, sadly. If it were my call he would go down for Kepler. But if it were my call, Kepler wouldn’t be on the Twins roster.
  12. Forget the score, Ryan looks good. Making his pitches.
  13. It feels like Buxton starts every AB with an 0-2 count. And the thing is, he’s a lousy hitter with 2 strikes.
  14. I don’t know why but I assumed there would be some newfound energy/focus in this homestand. 11 PAs, 6 Ks. This is regression.
  15. There isn’t really much else to say. I didn’t expect them to go and win this series at Baltimore, but overall they don’t even resemble a serious Major League Baseball team, starting at the top. Their off-season made the team worse/less resilient while Cleveland, Detroit and even KC could honestly say they improved. I’m just looking to stay ahead of Chicago at this point. I’m done hearing about bad luck and injuries; they are a 4th place team in a lousy division. The managers effectiveness is commensurate with the rest of the organization. If he were let go it’s not like there would be teams lining up to hire him. But he does the bidding of the FO, so he’s golden as long as there’s no changes there.
  16. Not me, I’m dinging the whole franchise approach to hitting. Yay, so we hit ultimately meaningless Joey Gallo type solo HR’s. And pack the box score with fruitless AB after fruitless AB.
  17. Weird but the Dodgers have looked sort of unfocused at the plate for the past 3 innings.
  18. I was thinking a little too much Joey Gallo may have rubbed off on Walner.
  19. Ok how about great stop (saved a double)? I’m looking to stay somewhat positive/hopeful .
  20. Great play by AK, no help from Stewie
  21. At least maybe someone at St. Paul could work with Walner. There’s no evidence that anyone can or will do that with the Twins.
  22. Some year the Twins will come out of Spring Training actually looking ready to hit. But not this year apparently. And Wallner, no, you haven’t earned a better strike zone.
