    Talking “Modern day baseball” is akin to my yelling at the kids on my lawn. I hope I live long enough to see the game move back to value high contact/situational hitting skills….but probably not.

    I’m probably in the group of people with selective memory and assumed Santana was going to help. Then when I saw him pop up that 3-1 hittable pitch I realized why he was signed (relatively) cheaply. My hope is that he doesn’t suck up too many AB’s ala Joey Gallo before we’re playing AK full time at 1st.

    It’s startling how predictable it is. As has been posted ad nauseum it’s only the Twins that would persist in batting him in the top third of the order. He’s struggling to perform as a league average hitter in the plum lineup spot. I can’t fathom how runs this team has left on the table by having him bat 2nd or 3rd, night after night.
