    He overdoes it....too much time in the radio booth. Someone needs to tell him that he is no longer explaining the plays to Gladden and the audience can now SEE the game.

    My guess is the new ownership takes on the cost. It is why there has been reservations per the reports. Dumping Correa helps. Apparently, the owner of the Astros communicated the point during a chat with Jim Pohlad. Mauer has been reported to be in a potential buyers group...he golfed with the Astros owner during the HOF weekend..probably nothing but still..?

    One thing to consider per the news reports is that the reported almost half a billion of team debt has "supposedly" made some potential buyers a bit unhappy. When the debt is almost a third of the asking price...it makes a buyer hesitant.

    It wasn't about the trade value realistically....it is how this all went down. People attack Falvey, but the Pohlads are doing some things that show they are clearing the books. Don't be surprised to see Lopez gone at the end of the year. Also, Ryan being dumped. Listen to the Skor North podcast from yesterday.

    Write an article about the Star Tribune story which showed how the Astros owner convinced Jim Pohlad to give them Correa with no return players and an overshooting the GM. The Skor North Twins show had a keen broadcast yesterday that presented facts behind all of it.. .including an interesting golfing match between Mauer and the same Astros owner before the HOF ceremony last month. Much more interesting than this hitter of the month or minor league player of the week stuff...that you have been headlining.

    Buxton put forth a comment on staying in Minnesota more than a week ago. If he had not been hurt all of the time, I believe that he could have been a HOF candidate. I don't see him as being a real vocal leader in the clubhouse, but he is not a person that only thinks of himself in my view.
