  1. Agree with you, it seems like the days when the pitching is locked in they can't get anything going offensively, allowing 3 runs today and getting a loss is disappointing. I really hope they can turn it around before the other teams in the central figure themselves out. I think a rotation of Gray, Ryan, Ober, Smeltzer, and Archer/Bundy/Sands when they're all healthy gives them a chance to compete, but they've gotta eat enough innings to keep the bullpen from getting overworked and they've gotta score more than 2 runs per night.
  2. Looks like he could have a promising future as the Twins starting left fielder, would like to see him lower that strikeout % and get more hits with RISP.
  3. As bad as this week has gone, they've still got a 4.5 game lead over Cleveland right now and 5 over the White Sox. It's pretty bad when you have a 3-7 stretch and haven't really lost any ground in the division.
  4. The Blue Jays are taking care of the White Sox, so they've not gained any ground. But the Twins are getting a red hot Blue Jays team this weekend ?
  5. No, mathematically there are more chances to score one run when you have a minimum of 9 batters than a minimum of 3. It isn't rocket science.
  6. I'd rather the Twins give up the go ahead homerun in the 6th with 3 more chances at bat than the 8th with only one
  7. What's funny is they could get swept in Toronto and end up losing 6 straight by Sunday night and still be leading the division.
  8. They will be a .500 team in the next 10 days.
  9. Then going to Toronto short handed, the June swoon begins.
  10. How many blown saves do the Twins have this season now?
  11. Welp. The lead was nice while we had it.
  12. Just tuned in and looks like Urshela is on base.
  13. Top of the order (2,3,4) I can understand, but leadoff? That's entirely different. Especially when Buxton and Arraez are both options. And even Larnach would be a better option IMO. I knew it was gonna be a disaster before the game even started.
  14. Berrios is a good pitcher but I think Sonny Gray has been better at this point this season. If Gray stays healthy he could be our ace with Joe Ryan as a solid #2.
  15. I think the FO made the right move, trading him when they did while he looked good and had decent numbers. His value would have depreciated otherwise if he was putting up numbers then like he is now.
  16. Yep, Jim Kaat specifically mentioned that yesterday, it messes with guys when they don't know if or where they will be playing or hitting in the lineup. Rocco needs to set a lineup and stick with it because his incompetence is killing this team again.
  17. Alright Rocco defenders, how do you justify a lineup where Garlick is hitting leadoff? Wait. You can't. The guy is clueless.
  18. I'd rather see a team that can compete against the likes of the Yankees and Astros get in.
