    a little off topic: Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Griffin Jax left his start against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night a few batters after being hit in the back by a line drive in the second inning.

    I guess it's a little early to start printing playoff tickets. It's nice they didn't play little league baseball again today. They are exceeding my prognostications for the season so far.

    He is looking like a Lewis/Buxton type of player. Tons of talent but even if he makes it to the big leagues that does not mean he will actually be on the field. Both thumbs with injuries will be tough to not be a different hitter. If my memory is correct he has to be added to the 40 man roster this winter or risk losing him to waivers. I would not give up on him just yet. He is still young.
