  1. That depends. Do I have to trade a bunch of other stuff for Trevor May?
  2. Not necessarily, but I'm less convinced now than ever before. In a big trade like this, he's not someone I'm necessarily targeting.
  3. Why would your "rebuilding" Twins trade for Chris Sale?
  4. What the heck do you want Mark Appel for?
  5. Here's what mine would look like. How about yours? http://coldomaha.com/2016/twins/warne-devising-the-perfect-brian-dozier-trade/
  6. Followed up with what I think would be "perfect" deals to move Dozier: http://coldomaha.com/2016/twins/warne-devising-the-perfect-brian-dozier-trade/
  7. Jorge is heading into year seven in the organization and has like 75 innings above High-A. He also was never close to having control problems. His high-water mark was like 3.0 BB/9. Romero might prove your point that it has happened, but I doubt it's a correlation-causation thing. It would be hard to ever prove that.
  8. Not really comfortable with the comparison, since Landa had to come over and acclimate to the states and was never close to a top-100 prospect like Sanchez was. Just not the same types of players at all.
  9. Well I guess? But I can't think of anyone who improved their control by being moved through an organization more quickly.
  10. Easy for anyone not in the organization to say. He's had control problems at every rung. He's never walked fewer than 4 batters per 9 in any season. Those guys don't move aggressively.
  11. Why is this? Granite won't play in the big leagues this year barring some sort of surprise, and is no guarantee to be an impact player.
  12. Grossman absolutely throttled lefties last year. Don't let a few bad defensive plays make you think he isn't useful.
  13. Happy for him. Happy for them. My favorite guy in the game. He'll do good things for them.
  14. Oh absolutely. It's the perfect time to buy in on his talent and they have too many outfielders.
  15. Love it. Has the personality the team should identify with, won't require a long-term commitment and is a f***ing masher. Also signals a commitment to Sano at third base -- which I love.
  16. Joyce signed a reasonable deal today. Mashes righties. If this team is more reliant on platoons moving forward -- i.e. Castro-Murphy -- then I'm more apt to listen.
  17. Yeah, you can find them on the market -- and pay them market rate. Unless you're signing someone like Heyward, you're stuck with the Willinghams of the world.
  18. I would be fine with getting Puig if he wasn't the headliner.
  19. There's virtually no chance Palka is going to do that.
  20. I don't think you can get two MLB arms. Would be happy with Bradley though. (Ray too)
  21. 1. Bellinger wouldn't be blocked in Minnesota 2. Why would the Dodgers want anything to do with Perkins and/or Santiago?
  22. Palka, Granite and Rosario are not starting-caliber outfielders on a division-winning team.
  23. Because arms are also the riskiest, and the Twins do still have a hole in the outfield.
  24. Between Gleyber, Didi and Starlin Castro I don't know if I see them adding any more middle infield guys.
