posed this question yesterday to David Schoenfield of ESPN on yesterday's chat: Are the Twins finished dealing after trading Span,Revere and signing Correia & Pelfrey? Will they finish dead last again in the AL? Schoenfield's response: Shaping up to be quite a race between the Indians and Twins. Correria , Pelfrey Worley.....doesn't inspire much confidence
Looks like the Twins are going to back up about 8 yards and PUNT on the 2013 season.... these free agent signings are just a 2 year stop gap fill-in till our minor league pitchers are worthy
i would have preferred Lannen as well over Corriea and he is left handed...2.5M vs. the 10M we spent on Corriea.....PUNT the 2013 season. Glad i am not a season ticket holder
Twins will need to "look" more competitive on the field/ & on paper before a free agent pitcher signs with us. Seriously, 2 years straight with worst record in the AL. Would you come to MN if you were a free agent??
Twins will not sign anyone at the winter meetings. TR will wait it out and see which pitchers are "left over" and then low ball them an offer and pick up a couple warm bodies for the rotation in 2013. For 2014 lather, rinse, repeat...
I've seen a lot of Dodger games...Dee Gordon, weak bat, not very good defensively, way too many errors on routine plays but will make a great play once in a while..very fast but this kid is really skinny
is this it for TR & the Twins on the trade market? i think it is and they will now concentrate on signing free agent pitchers. Any hope for the 2013 season???? or will Twins finish dead last again in the division for the 3rd year in a row??
i believe that the fans will stay away from Target Field next year, as we all saw that late in the season this year....are the Twins looking to compete in year 2105?? because we will stink again in 2013..Thank you Astros for joining the American league next year, the Twins will not finish with the worst record for 3 straight years now
i don't like the "return" for span either.....1 A-ball pitcher for a good major league CF/Lead-off hitter....Geez, stop trading with Washington. Rizzo has our number. Maybe Washington will re-sign Capps and trade him back to us...
Just think Detroit is not even close to being done yet. The Tigers will make some more moves, they need a closer and more. Unfortunately , the Twins will sit on their hands while Detroit is going for the whole shebang
i would also like to say thank-you to the Twins daily writers & bloggers. Living in southern California , i do not receive a lot of twins info. So when i found this site , it was awesome. Please keep up the good work
