  1. It's not that bad. Wolitarsky is really good and the other receivers are solid. Ask CJ Beathard if he'd like to trade receiver groups.
  2. I didn't know Todd McShay coaches at South Dakota State.
  3. Switching over to the NL, the batting champ, Lemehieu, didn't win the Silver Slugger either because of Daniel Murphy. And even Eddie Rosario calls Rougned Odor a free swinger. Just 19 walks in 632 PAs last year.
  4. Well yeah, but going for a high knockout hit with the game already in hand and a minute left isn't the smartest thing to do either.
  5. Leidner was 10/19, and many of his completions were inaccurate enough that it didn't allow for any yards after the catch. I wouldn't call him efficient today. Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks are such a great tandem, I wonder what they would look like with a good quarterback.
  6. Are we watching the same guy? I remember quite a few potential double plays has Dozier lobbed the ball over to first when a strong throw would've been an out. I'm not saying he's a bad overall defender at 2B, just that his arm isn't strong enough to play on the left side. Can you imagine a play where Dozier has to field a ball going to his right and has to throw from foul territory? The throw might get to the first basemen, but I can all but guarantee you it's not going to be on a line.
  7. Have you seen Brian throw? I think he would be pretty bad defensively at 3B.
  8. Really? He's made several top 100 lists the last couple of years. It'll be years before the Twins, or any team, considers waiving Polanco.
  9. My plan would be for Polanco to open the season at SS. No, his defense is not at the level that you'd want, but his offensive upside makes up for a lot of that. Plus, if he's not the starting SS, I don't think Eduardo Escobar is enough of a defensive upgrade to justify putting Polanco in a utility role.
  10. 2.7 BB/9 for Maddux compared to 3.2 BB/9 for Stewart. Stewart's was quite a bit higher this year at 3.9 though which isn't a great sign.
  11. Great, one of the top 4 guys in the draft features a high 80's sinker. I think I'll pass.
  12. I thought me liking your post was good enough to not have to include a or a /s in my reply. I just wanted to note that it is possible to have a good MLB career with poor minor league SO numbers, since quite a few people are off the Stewart bandwagon, which is pretty understandable. The 2.84 career ERA and his reported stuff is enough for me to still have high hopes for him though.
  13. Well if Stewart isn't even as good as Greg Maddux, then they might as well just cut him now. And just for fun, Stewart has a better ERA.
  14. Well Luis Arraez can't field and Vielma can't hit. Lamonte Wade looks like he's a player who has a complete game that you can envision translating into success in the MLB.
  15. There's no way Turner should be in the top 10, but I'm also really surprised he's not in the top 50 either.
  16. Definitely agree with the Dozier pick. He became a more complete hitter who can now use the whole field when he needs to.
  17. The guy that I'm most looking forward to seeing is Lewis Thorpe. Hopefully he can put together a nice recovery year next year and put his career back on track. Also, how is he still only 20 years old? It seems like he's been around forever.
  18. Yeah I'm not sure I can get behind Brusdar Graterol even making the top 50, and especially not the top 25. Reports of 89-92 doesn't really produce a ton of excitement for me either. I'd like to wait until he has some actual production before ranking him this high.
  19. Vielma has shown less power in the minors than Ben Revere. I doubt he would be a non liability at the MLB level if he's just barely getting by with the bat in the minors.
  20. This was a come out of nowhere season for Nelson Molina, so I haven't really read much or paid much attention to him. Hopefully he can put together back to back seasons of production to show that this year wasn't a fluke.
  21. I'm going to call Jordan Balazovic the Canadian Kohl Stewart, at least until his K rate proves otherwise.
  22. I'd call Rosario's 2016 a slight disappointment. Apparently he's got the stuff, but 9.7 H/9 and only 6.5 K/9 in the FSL isn't anything to write home about. Maybe when he makes the transition to reliever full time, we'll see better results.
  23. It should be fun to see his stolen base totals over a full season. Maybe somewhere in the 50-60 range. Also interesting is that he's listed at 6'4" and 200 lbs, so he seems to be an excellent athlete with the size to potentially add power.
