  1. Very much hoping that Pinto gets sent to AAA, for his own sake. The additional ABs he gets in Rochester are an investment in his future.
  2. My guess is that Cederoth gets a shot to start while the Twins keep Burdi in the pen. If Cederoth can't crack it, oh well, another high octane bullpen option. You could do much worse with this pick
  3. Really? What need should have been filled? Alternatively, who was the BPA?
  4. True, but from what I've heard it'll be entirely possible to still nab an intriguing HS pitcher with our 2nd rounder.
  5. How aggressive we are with our 2nd round pick will determine a lot of what I feel about this draft.
  6. Slightly preferred Jackson there but you can't be upset taking a talent like Gordon. Very excited for that young man's future.
  7. Baseball America ‏@BaseballAmerica 52s Florida HS SS Nick Gordon to Twins at No. 5 is as stable as any predraft scuttlebutt has been.
  8. Consensus on twitter, and the universe in general, is Gordon to the Twinkies
  9. Well... Jackson/Gordon/Nola take your pick. I'm almost positive we are going to pass on Jackson, which is pretty upsetting. The importance of the hit tool cannot be understated. I trust the Twins have thoroughly scouted these guys, though
  10. Retweeted by Baseball America Clint Longenecker ‏@Clint_BA 1m Cubs will draft Kyle Schwarber at No. 4 sources say
  11. Retweeted by Baseball America Clint Longenecker ‏@Clint_BA 1m Hearing White Sox will take LHP Carlos Rodon at No. 3
  12. I'm going to be sad if Jackson is one the board and we pass up on him
  13. Oh boy! It's gonna get interesting!!!
  14. Baseball America ‏@BaseballAmerica 58s Multiple confirmation of Kolek at 2 to Marlins. #MLBDraft
  15. Really, really want Jackson if he falls
  16. keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 1m I'm hearing the @astros will take @bradyaiken10 with the first overall pick in the #MLBDraft2014 Expand Reply Retweet Favorite More
  17. How close did the Twins come to getting a "competitive balance round" pick? Makes me a little bit sick to think the Cards are cashing in on it and we are left out in the cold
  18. I have a much easier time taking Nola at 5 than 3. I'd be nervous if I were a White Sox fan
  19. I'm a little surprised if the Twins really are down on Jackson. Callis called him the best hitter, HS or college, in the entire draft. A good hit tool is certainly not easy to come by and often the make or break factor for a lot of prospects.
  20. Have to admit, Kolek makes me a little bit nervous. I have heard virtually nothing regarding his secondary pitches and command. For me personally, I'd rather have Stewart than Kolek if the former were in this year's draft. Jackson is the guy I would love to pick and keep behind the plate. Power+hit tool+ not a butcher behind the plate... sounds tantalizing. Unfortunately, I would really be surprised if he dropped to us at 5.
  21. Most of these kids come from pretty humble backgrounds, not surprised it can be a pure money grab for some. This is even more obvious in the international FA market. Nothing to do but go along with the system and take the BPAMCB (Best Player Available Money Can Buy)
  22. Is Lewis still in EST?
  23. This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but this link will quickly send you to team sites where you can find box scores for the minors. Sorted by level. http://www.milb.com/milb/info/classifications.jsp
