    He's chomping at the bit to be a Major League manager....unless Manuel is stepping down after this season, and I've heard nothing to say he would be, we should go after him.

    He's been a great minor league manager and the Phillies are grooming him now....we should offer him the job before they promote him

    Can't do that right now...not for another few months. I do like the idea of getting Bogaerts, but I don't think he's going anywhere. Boston plays shortstop roulette as much as we do...

    Both of those were on Ryan. Torii became a free agent the same offseason Ryan left...so if he was going to be moved, it would be on Ryan. Ryan didn't offer Hunter a deal until August of 2007 and Hunter became a FA at the end of the 2007 season. Ryan could have signed Santana earlier or traded him while he was still GM. The Luis Castillo trade that Ryan did put the nail in the coffin as far as resigning Hunter or Santana. Santana pretty much said he wasn't going to pitch anymore for us. Yes, Smith could and should have gotten more for Santana, but everyone knew the Twins weren't going to be able to keep him past 2008 anyway, so it's not like we had too much bargaining power to begin with...and that's on Ryan

    Didn't stop him from signing Corriea to a two year deal... Maybe Ryan didn't want him cause he didn't have any real DL history....

    I remember one postgame interview. Valencia had a very good offensive game...even had a homer. No kudos for that...not a peep...all Gardy wanted to do was talk about how he misplayed a bunt...he kept talking about it. Thing is, if the bunt had been laid down properly, Danny would have made the play...

    Gardenhire, at the end of the 2011 season, also said in an interview that many of the players were getting defensive with him and didn't want to listen. He also said they had told him that they were tired of him 'throwing them under the bus'. He blew off the criticisms. I used to have the link for this...I posted it a couple times on the Twins story boards. I'll try to find it. I believe it was 1500ESPN.

    But Liddle, White and a couple others got fired (or rather, their contracts were up and they weren't asked back) while Vavra and Ullger got reassigned. How is keeping Anderson but letting White go a proper response to poor pitching in 2012? On top of that, who do they all answer to?

    I'm gonna guess maybe he meant 200 and just had the typo...just a guess. He hasn't, however, had even 190 MLB innings in one season. The most he's ever had was slightly less than that...and that was nine seasons ago. The second most he had was 148, and that was five seasons ago.

    I got what you were saying...I'm not sure you got where snepp was going with his instruction. True, twerp wouldn't have gotten his way had he simply reported it...but there still would have benefit overall...that benefit being that his post wouldn't have been posted in the first place.

    Well, no Twins team ever lost as many games in back to back seasons as the Twins have done the last two seasons...and no MLB manager has ever led his team to more consecutive playoff losses either...yet he's still with the team. I'm not sure they worry too much about what they're saying to the fans by keeping him.
