    I've got a friend, retired teacher, who goes to different parks each year with some other guys he taught with. They went to DC this time, and arranged with Amy Klobachar for a tour of the White House. They should have a fun weekend if we can win a game or two.

    Nolasco flat out earned the spot in the rotation. Spring training stats don't mean much when it comes to the pitchers. A lot of times the hitter knows exactly what pitch is coming, as the hurler works on certain pitches. These guys all pitched some at the minor league complex, so I was able to stand behind the catcher and see just what they threw warming up. Nolasco had by far the best movement on his balls and it translated into the games. If he can continue to have control with the breaking pitches he's going to be tough to stand in against. Finally it's good to see him having success.

    I saw it and noticed right away Escobar didn't care for it. What he said I couldn't make out.

    We're leaving to many on base. This could still be a high scoring game though as both pitchers are off today.

    No Polanco in the lineup. Buxton is back.

    I'd of been fine if he never came back, but it is what it is.

    Took awhile to read all these posts, but I'll say this, watching the game I thought Mollie made all the right moves. And all moves worked out. Great job by the pen, great recovery by Gibson, and the guys hung it there and pulled it out. What's really encouraging is guys going with the pitch once in awhile.

    With Kyle Gibson pitching, Bert will enter Kyle Lohse a few times today.

    Mollie said on pregame Roserio did ok in the 2 hole in spring training.

    77 with a south wind like that should bring some warmer weather here to the north shore! Got snow to melt before we can golf.

    Who's going to lose the interest? If he comes up and helps contribute to some wins, there'll be no interest lost. Park needs AAA as does Kepler. There's room.

    And at least one TD'er who had doubts, me, last year. My doubts remain but I can see giving him more time. Of the starting 8, 6 could be sent to the minors the way these guys are hitting. I think Park may be the next one to go down.

    And Mastroinanni is healthy this year. Runs like a deer and steals bases. I'd like to see him up here, nothing to lose IMO.

    It's looking like we won't win until we get Torii Hunter back into the clubhouse as cheerleader. He was much more valuable last year than any numbers that can be shown.

    About 15 years ago, John Gordon called my name for the Snapper Mo'em Down Inning. Radke gave up a single to Pudge and then mowed 'em down. No lawn mower for me, but a DQ frozen cake.
