  1. I can see why they traded Kinsler...he is on the wrong side of 30 and has slowly been decling as well. Why not open up a spot for a young great fielding prospect as Kinslers defensive number have been kinda bad and get a decent fielding 1st baseman or just stick with Mitch Moreland and just keep Fielder at DH. Looks good to me.
  2. I honestly really dont think anyone else is involved in this trade. I just think that Detroit realized it loses a lot playing Miggy at 3rd and has Castellanos to play 3rd now. What wouldnt suprise me is if Detroit goes after one of the TOP Outfielders i.e. Choo or Ellsbury which are two guys who can steal and have good OBP % which I think is more dangerous than having Fielder and Miggy batting right next to each other. Although Texas likely will pursue on of the FA OFs as well. The demise of Prince Fielder is greatly over stated. Torii Hunter alluded to the fact that Fielder was having a very hard time going through his divorce and his head just couldnt get into the game last year which is understandable. Fielder will likely flourish in Texas and get back to hitting 35+ homers and 110+ RBIs which is just what Texas needs without possibly Nelson Cruz and especially since Hamilton left.
  3. This definitely came out of nowhere. I like the trade a lot for Texas(As the trade stands right now). The ball is going to fly off Fielders bat next summer in Texas. Kinsler has slowly been getting worse with age.
  4. I agree with you...but....if we resign Pelfrey I will be pissed because I would rather see if Josh Josh can resurrect his career over watching Pelfrey try to be a decent pitcher again. Josh Johnson has great stuff hurt or not, Pelfrey bleh.
  5. In the big picture it doesnt even matter that this happened, both of these guys in all reality will amount to as Chris Farley would say...JACK SQUAT
  6. It doesnt seem like the Twins were too interested in him. Great choice for Johnson though, he definitely if healthy can improve his stock in that beautiful Pitchers Ballpark
  7. No one knows. I tried asking this the other day. It makes no sense he is being blocked by 24-25 year old outfielders at Fort Myers.
  8. He cant improve his plate discipline at other levels. Just look at Wil Meyers. He had a high strike out percentage in the minor leagues. He has improved greatly a little bit each year. Walker should be playing higher and everyone knows it. A college player playing in low A means nothing. Put him in high A at least and see if he can hack it.
  9. I wanted to say that. I just feel like the Astros giving him a shot or something, especially after they wasted time on Pena this year.
  10. Still makes no sense. So all the twins are doing is saying hey you're having a great year young man.....but we are going to keep you in low a ball after a few years in college where the pitchers here are not as good as the ones you were facing in college. He has no use in low A ball. When you say the he will be younger than guys in High A ball that's really sad that an organization wants 24-25 year old players on a high A ball club.
  11. I definitely believe that if Morneau keeps up with his current power streak we should definitely resign him, but if he regresses back its time to move on. Im expecting a regress back but hoping for the power to stick, I couldnt imagine Morneau being in another uniform.
  12. Am I the only one who is sad that a guy with that much potential let it all go to waste. Going to go out on a limb here but Delmon wont be in the league two years from now. His brother had a better career.
  13. ADAM WALKER IS STILL IN LOW A WHY?! Demote someone from Fort Myers, way to many 23-24 year olds who dont even rank as a prospect.
  14. Look here more innings that could have gone to a prospect but they go to....nick blackburn.... Keep it up Rosario! You to Adam Walker!
  15. I would not change a thing about any of the picks. Spot on.
  16. Great information. It would be really nice to see Pinto get some time in September. Doumit was a great story last year but has no future with the Twins. Nice to see Trevor Mays stats really improving after a rough April. One thing that stands out for may is the lower WHIP. He still needs to have a little more control.
  17. Great article. You have to believe that if Parmelee doesnt come up again when and if Morneau is traded that the Twins have lost all faith in him. Im sure excited to see Colabello to get his shot at the big league level. Im all for the Twins tanking in the 2nd half. I would rather be the worst team with the #1 pick than winning a few games more and being like the 5th or 6th pick. I mean Gardy doesnt know how to manage a bullpen anyway so that is a plus. Limiting Mauers innings is definitely a good idea and im sure the Twins staff are already planning on that. I have a gut feeling that Hicks will really start to get it going in the 2nd half as well but not in the top of the lineup, he already proved that it was too much pressure so why put that on him again? Hopefully the Twins can get some decent prospects through trades but everyone should not expect more than a bag of balls for Morneau or Carrol if they are traded.
  18. im just wondereing who is out there that is a potential manager for the twins?
  19. Yeah, he might command more tha 10 million a year. Maybe 11-13 million a year. I agree with everything that you said. We would definitely have to overpay for a FA due to the fact nobody is interested in the current mess that is the Twins organization. I still believe that we should go after Johnson though, but like you said we would likely lose in a bidding war. We need to go after a good pitcher this offseason, but we're the Twins, not likely going to happen.
  20. On the Josh Johnson talk as well. How much do you think he will be go for this offseason? 1,2,3 or more year deal and how much? I believe that although he is injured a lot he would be worth around a 2 year 20 million dollar deal and that would definitely be worth the 130 innings of 3.5 to 3.8 ERA he would give you for those innings.
  21. Thanks CMB i guess i have played to much MLB 2k13. Well then its time to ship Morneau out for that C rated prospect.
  22. I agree with Reusse. Reading article like this make me sick to my stomach because its makes more and more dissapointed in an organization the i have loved since birth.
  23. A lot of people underestimated Baxendale coming out of college. Good to see him doing well. Also Keith Law likes him. Hopefully Rosario keeps swinging the bat likes he is capable of, he very well should be considered for a september call up. Why not put Dozier at short and let Rosario get his feet wet a little bit.
  24. Not a big fan of Ozzie Guillen maybe if we hired someone else and Ozzie was a bench coach or something who could light a fire under people to get them to play harder. Molitor im all for.
