PA had Anderson on yesterday morning and asked him about Worley: http://www.kfan.com/media/podcast-the-common-man-KFAN_Common/79-common-man-full-show-inside-25006832/ 45:20 mark
His production is so heavily OBP driven. And that's good. But I would be more encouraged if he stockpiled more hits or if more of his hits went for extra bases. We already know that a walks-singles version of Hicks at NB only translates to a .600 batter in the Show.
Fellas, if you haven't taken your girl to a Saints game yet, do yourself a favor and buy a pair of front row seats in section D. Its a lot of hokey fanfare and not much baseball but she will have a good time and it won't be the same after they move.
I hate to be Debbie Downer but the 1995 Mariners were 15 games back on August 1 and ended up finishing in first place. Plenty of time left to spoil next year's draft.
Gardy's answer is fine. Pitching makes you sore. These two (Nolasco and Pelfrey) just signed 8 figure contracts. I imagine there is a lot of pressure to make good on them and the last think they wanted was to come out of ST in year 1 on the DL.
Worley's still only sporting a 4.9% SwStr% which if he qualified would put him 2nd to last in baseball (ahead of Correia). He is getting luckier, but he still doesn't have very good stuff.
