  1. The Twins have done nothing. And if the plan really is to compete in 2020 then I'm out.
  2. This. Dozier is a nice player but people are vastly over estimating the value of two years of him is
  3. This. Guys get filtered out at every level so it's important to have plenty in the pipeline. Of the 4 mentioned odds are that two end up being MLB regulars.
  4. I've been saying all along that they need to target elite pitching and nothing else. We can patch holes in the lineup and you can always find third starters.
  5. I don't buy the premise that it's understandable they haven't done anything because they are getting settled. You can study the Dozier situation for an hour and know he has to go. Hopefully they are just holding out for a better deal.
  6. I've been saying all along that the Twins should package prospects plus Dozier and go after Urias. Everything has a price....
  7. Nothing is clear until the offers are made. Sweeten the pot and get a difference maker.
  8. Then add prospects. If DeLeon is a 3rd starter why would the Twins give up Dozier?
  9. The twins need pitching far more than positional players. If they can't get pitching move on.
  10. I start with Uriah and hang tough. If DE Leon is really a number 3 starter we are aiming too low. We need serious upside not a quantity of prospects
  11. I would go after Urias and would have no problem throwing in Kohl Stewart to get it done.
  12. I like the idea of having someone with an analytics background focusing solely on pitching. Certainly would be the biggest bang for the buck.
  13. I think the concept is great. Surprised it took so long.
  14. Pitching out of the pen also seemed to be the cause of his increased injury rate. The Twins need starters badly; try him there first.
  15. I think one of the great misunderstandings of fandom is the idea that all prospects are the same or should develop on a certain path. Each guy is unique and really have to be considered individually.
  16. Nice piece about Garver in the PP. Sounds like a motivated guy that really wants it
  17. Pretty much sounds like Terry Ryans philosophy.
  18. You are burning a spot on your 25 man roster for that? No thanks. I look forward to the day when he is not needed.
  19. There are no secrets to building a winning team. All teams try to pursue all avenues to improve. It all boils down to execution, making good decisions and some luck.
  20. And that's different than Twins Daily in what way☺?
  21. I'm pretty sure they can focus on more than one thing at a time
  22. Agreed. At this point they will really win fans over by winning.
  23. I'm surprised how many people are fine with him playing ss considering how frustrated we have been with our overall defense. The Twins have to start playing guys at their best positions which is 2nd for Jorge.
  24. Let Vargas be the full time DH and play first when Joe's sits against lefties. That said I still think it is more likely that Vargas and Park don't turn out than both of them do turn out which seems to be what people are worried about.
  25. Yep. Not sure that list makes the point. I'm glad all are elsewhere.
