  1. Bomba ball, better than nothing.
  2. Lewis hit a home run to start the Spring Training season, it seems, that was a bad thing. Early success seems to work against him.
  3. Jeffers' bat and glove both suck this spring, so a DFA would be foolish.
  4. Not even close, but, if that is true, you make sense.
  5. It would be sad to have a rookie who CAN hit Major League pitching quite well but whose glove work is as steady as a knuckle ball.
  6. Unless they are trying to get the equivalent of Nelson Cruz, it is really of zero concern. Defense and pitching are looking to be a problem, not some one whose glove is near meaningless.
  7. Not relating to single person but I found a chart of best and worst Spring Training teams from 2009 to 2023, from those 15 years I found best team has a 53 percent chance of not making the Post Season, but the worst team has an 86 percent chance of not making the Post Season. Make out of that what your own bias says -------------------------------------------------- At this point , Jeffers is showing Vazquez's bat and Camargo's glove.
  8. RBI, just like winning games, are not important; such is said in the spirit of Charles Ponzi.
  9. I wonder what they could get for Wallner, Jeffers and Lewis in a trade?
  10. It looks like they still need a bat first catcher.
  11. Or the players showed how good they really were. As the old saying goes, you cannot get blood out of a turnip.
  12. Most likely the players were simply not good enough.
  13. Former Twins sticking it to the current Twins.
  14. Gabriel Gonzalez is considered a bat-first prospect with significant defensive limitations, often projected as a corner outfielder, designated hitter (DH), or platoon player rather than a reliable defender . While he has shown improved conditioning and has a strong arm, scouting reports frequently describe him as having below-average speed and range in the outfield
  15. Familiar faces on the other team.
  16. It is new season with quite a different cast this year. Spring Training is showing who may be OK and who may go back to AAA or be seeing his career go pfft. If one is a baseball fan, that one will watch games all season and deal with what comes; if one is a here today gone tomorrow sports watcher, that one will move on. Que sera, sera.
  17. Wow, I remember when this was being said about Larnach, Waller, Julien, Kirilloff etc., etc., etc. 😵‍💫
  18. Yankees must have hired a rain-maker!
  19. I wonder if the Yankees announcers are trashing the Twins now.
  20. Do you think the Twins will win?
