It's a success that is short-lived and doesn't indicate long-term progress . It's often used to describe a sudden, unexpected, and often temporary success, much like a "flash in the pan"

    Lewis is improving at Third, but, that is the only position Lee was not bad at, so, the Twins need a good 2nd baseman, and maybe Clemens can be it.
