  1. Tme for Jeffers to send one over the fence.
  2. Different Twins team this game, only three payers that played for them , at any point last year and only one that has been around for a long time.
  3. Jake Cave, when he first came up for the Twins had very good year; I wonder why he, and a lot of gents straight out of AAA, show so much promise then end up as some time Majors and rest of the time in AAA . I don't know how much they make in AAA but probably a lot more per hour than I made busting my butt landscaping for years.
  4. I though about getting a high buck grill/smoker for years but still just keep getting the 50-80 buck cheapies. I use real wood, various flowering bush and trees, including dead rose bushes, and corn cobs so the hundred of dollars for a top line would not be worth it. The hot fire that it takes to burn wood down to coals cuts the life of grills a LOT, so I always have two or three. Ones I have now are on their last legs. Will cook a Flat-Iron Steak for tacos in the next hour.
  5. I would say, Wallner's only worry now, is , with the players being treated like trading cards , nowadays, that some team may offer good stuff for him in the future, BUT, the Twins have no one else with that strong of an arm, SO, right now, future of Left Field is his IF he can turn that arm into a precision machine, big pay day is coming.
  6. Gallo and Kepler remind of the glory days of Cruz and Sano, only these boys went to finishing school instead of doing the Mo' Money monkey scoop at the dugout.
  7. Yes sir. How good they are truly depends on the location; Waaay back 40 or so years ago, I got one in Duluth, Mn that was exceptional: truly toasted bun , meat so hot first bite tongue dance to avoid burn , it was as good as the best home made grilled burger I have ever had.
  8. The only burger McDonalds ever had that I thought was truly tasty was the Big N' Tasty from a decade ago, darn good burger.
  9. Why wasn't Gallo DFA? He is not good at any thing.
  10. Is he Major League Pitching Ready like Hicks, Larnach, Sano?
  11. NO, such a silly rumor is illogical unless the speaker of the rumor does not like the person he spreads the rumor about . When did he say anything about center field, either way?
  12. Zulgad is full of ejecta. Max Kepler, the German Baseball Player Who Spurned Soccer for MLB Dreams https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2568511-max-kepler-the-german-baseball-player-who-spurned-soccer-for-mlb-dreams The most middling players in Europe's top soccer leagues are guaranteed transformational wealth, supermodel girlfriends and unrivaled celebrity. A sea of people stacked five deep around the entrance to a nightclub will part ways for one of its soccer stars to enter. Restaurant reservations will be honored—so long as a player doesn't show up unannounced. It's a utopia for most European men that few get to enjoy and nearly all envy. And most find out if they've won this genetic lottery before their teenage years. While the offer of a scholarship to a prepubescent seventh-grader makes the college football faithful gasp in this country, European professional clubs already have snagged soccer phenoms by that age to play in their youth academies. So coveted is the opportunity to be selected into the youth academy of a known professional club that children around Europe move great distances for the chance. Max Kepler was fortunate to be one of the few. And one of the fewer who didn't even have to move. In his hometown of Berlin, he was a goalie for the youth academy of Hertha BSC, one of the storied clubs in Germany's famed Bundesliga. Hertha BSC is known for graduating youth talent to top leagues across Europe. Kepler was thought to be so athletic he even played some attacking positions as a reserve. In his early teens, Kepler was a prodigy. Then, suddenly, he veered off the path. If he lived in any number of other countries, the idea of abandoning soccer wouldn't inspire shock. Most would understand that a number of sports would suit someone as athletically gifted as Kepler. But not in Europe. Especially not in Germany, where other athletic endeavors are barely given a passing glance. The move was as much a head-scratcher to his envious classmates as it was to his Polish-born father....
  13. How well the Twins did against the Yankees dtermined how well they would do early this season; I figure how well they do in the remaining games against the Phillies, will show how the rest of the season goes.
  14. It would have been the same thing, only one week later.
  15. Yes and very few make it to the bigs and a tiny protion are above league average. All bring up so and so because he will make the team better, seems to be based on posters looking at them like a father figure: My new boy is better than the your old boy.
  16. Polanco, Kepler hit home runs; after that all down hill, badly.
  17. I do not think Keuchel is the only pitching problem.
  18. Another dribbler to short, good grief!
  19. Twins keep hitting dribblers to the short stop, isn't that what Keuchel was supposed to do?
  20. Right now Keuchel ahead of Winder 6-3
