  1. It's probably why the 2001-2003 Twins are my favorite squad ever. A.J., Doug, Guardado, and Hawkins were not the most talented group by I don't think anyone wanted it more than them. Add in a talented Torii, who also had an outgoing personality, and it was truly fun watching those teams.
  2. He is a guy that is easy to root for and I wish we hadn't suffered through five months of Bobby Wilson for it.
  3. More HR than K.
  4. And of course he is immediately taken out.
  5. I just assume he'll be pulled mid-inning because he is already at 100 pitches which is scarier than the apocolypse.
  6. If you look at their past three seasons they are pretty similar. Grossman had the better 2016, Mauer the better 2017, and both are trash this season.

  8. In honor of Rod Allen and Mario Impemba's fight, who would Dick have the best chance to defeat in a throw down?
  9. I've yet to see a TB "starter" go eight. Not every single start would the pitcher fall apart after four.
  10. From what I've seen in looking at the Rays boxscores the "Starters" don't go an extra inning. They get taken out after the fifth or sixth inning anyway. In reality they are going less innings.
  11. They did. It was called not pitching them. I don't care what the analytics say. If you have a seven run lead and your starting pitcher is at 80 pitches he should go out there for another inning.

  13. Another annoying thing about the opener is it needlessly adds another pitcher. The "starters" aren't going an inning deeper into the game than they'd normally go. Stewart was taken out after about 70 pitches. He was going to go six innings max as a starter so now he goes five and we just waste another pitcher.
  14. I really hope that was his exact quote.
  15. Why the **** is Grossman batting cleanup again?
  16. Then you just say, "Neither one of you deserve to be in the playoffs anyway. Good bye." Which is what should happen anyway.
  17. At least we get an "opener" tomorrow.
  18. Houston not respecting the game running with a three run lead. Molly and the boys certainly took note.
  19. At least Gibson is regressing quickly enough to where the FO hopefully doesn't give him a needless extension. Although, on the other hand, he is capable of getting through at least three innings every start so he's probably worth 50 mil per season so we don't need to see our bullpen for eight innings.
  20. Yes, it's all over the league and it's ridiculous. I think signing guys like Yelich and Cain and trading for Moustakas and Schoop is what we would strive to be. Their pitching is still horse **** and they probably won't even make the playoffs.
  21. It's about time for Terry to ride in on his white horse again to whittle payroll.
  22. It's not respecting the game to continue trying when you're up a million.
  23. My favorite part of the game was where Texas tagged up on a fly ball to the warning track in the eighth inning and Dick grumbles, "You can bet that the Twins dugout took note of that."
  24. Despite having 13 man pitching staffs for the first five months and 37 in September they still need to go to their back up catcher every other month,
  25. I imagine much like watching with my father, who is often dozing in his rocking chair by the commercial break between the open and the top of the first. Every 2-3 innings he'll wake up and look at the score and say, "This horse **** again!" and immediately go back to sleep.
