  1. TOO MUCH ASTUDILLO FOR YOU, HUH CLEVELAND!?!?!?
  2. I disagree. He was able to pitch around walks and base hits (save the last inning), but he showed good velocity, and the ability to finish off hitters for strikeouts.
  3. In any other situation, Perez would not have pitched to Santana.
  4. They did switch a catcher each game, but same order.
  5. That's true. But mostly because we don't let them pitch.
  6. If the Twins get something from Perez and Pineda, this team will be very good, despite what looks to be a horrible bullpen.
  7. The value of their starting pitching cannot be overstated, it puts them in every game. They'll get Lindor back, and although half the line up is pretty bad, Lindor and Ramirez are MVP candidates.
  8. I'm going to go ahead and credit Astudillo for that second run too; other players just panic when he's at bat.
  9. Nice to see the lineup knock an Indians starter out of the game for once.
  10. This Cruz guy might be a good pick up for the Twins.
  11. Remember when the Twins had a pitch-to-contact starting staff? Pepperidge farm remembers.
  12. Sounds like this was planned to keep Perez extended, and limit Pineda after injury.
  13. Nice two-strike hit by Buxton. He looks so much better than last year. *knocks on wood*
  14. Not sure about the strategy, but Buxton's body language sure looked like he was never going to swing at that pitch.
  15. I'm sure he was told to take that pitch no matter what.
  16. Good advice.
  17. Look, you keep professing your centrism, but all I see is constant critique of the left, and out crying about white-guy as victims, and a constant flow of anecdotal information as proof of a trend. MAGA is guilty of way more hate/attacks than any counter protest, but it's not worth belaboring this point.
  18. Because you're running in circles/visiting websites that purvey in the MAGA-as-victim is why you are seeing more. Are you denying MAGA associated hate? Do you find Trumps message and rallies wholesome? I'm really tired of the conservative white man as victim theme that keeps being brought up at every opportunity. Honestly, I've said this before, if you condone policies that disadvantage disenfranchised people, if you don't speak out against white supremacy, if you support a President who has said racist things and makes a war on refugees, well, in my book, you are a racist. If you want to romanticize a time where women and minorities had less rights, less power, less influence, your a racist/sexist (what else does MAGA mean, other than this?). Maybe not the worst kind of racist (hate, violence) but one who through either silence or implicit support helps keep inequities systemic and divides in our society deep.
  19. I agree the Smollet case is fishy, but if this the case where the Feds start looking into prosecutorial malfeasance, I'll be pissed. Prosecutors have been playing loose and fast for decades, and many of those who crying bloody murder, didn't give one wit, because it merely disadvantaged the poor and the disenfranchised.
  20. I know MAGA's wholesome message has totally been misconstrued! I don't agree with any one-to-one assessment. But since Trump's presidency, things have gotten a lot more divisive and extreme.
