  1. This FO is very fond of constructing a team with very few players that actually have a position, leaving the team full of players like Gordon that have no home. Flexibility is one thing, but having the majority of the lineup constantly playing "out of position", or mediocre at all defensive positions because they aren't developed to have a home position is not in a teams best interest.
  2. Add me to the list of folks that really enjoyed this article. Great work!
  3. Sounds from the Front Office ? ? ? ?
  4. And still crickets from those that actually forced this decision on all the fans and the team. I guess communication is not of primary importanceto them. I guess it doesn’t really matter unless it is an apology. I mean, what could they possibly say that would make this make sense, anyway? Still, in this case, they really should attempt to explain themselves.
  5. HR leader a rookie? Not even close. Buxton (28), Correa (22), Polanco (16), and Sanchez (16) all had more homers than Miranda(15). Now you are just making things up. At this rate, before this thread is over, you will probably have increased your total comments by at least 300%!
  6. Rodon couldn't stay healthy for years..... and then....... tons of examples of overcoming young injuries.
  7. You mean with all that amazing outfield depth that I have been reading about right here on TD that the FO has been accumulating and we have a surplus of - so many that they are also valuable trading assets..... and Joey Gallo is now the best of all of them not named Buxton? In what world? Perhaps just the one between your ears?
  8. You can't call the FO what they are, here. This is unbelieveable. What a waste of $11 million. $1 million would have been too much for Gallo at this point. They have lost it. This doesn't even make sense on the stat sheets that our Front Office loves so much. Do they even watch the players actually play? Is this a "Trouble With The Curve" sequel? They are paying Gallo more than anyone on the roster except Buxton and Sonny Gray. Unbelieveable. Don't pay enough for the great players, and pay way way way too much for the washed up ones that should either be playing across the pond or retiring now. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/minnesota-twins/payroll
  9. Rodon Schmodon. We lost out on Tommy Milone, too.
  10. I guess, in these changing times, less than 1 year = an era.
  11. Robertson signed with the Mets a couple of days ago..... itroduced officially today.
  12. We might have seen Lewis play all year better than Correa, IF he wasn't moved to the outfield with little experience and ran into the wall. One could say that it was because of Correa that Lewis is out again. Put me in the satisfied column that Correa will not me retruning.
  13. Will Twins fans boo him again like before 2022, and like every other team rightfully does except Houston? or is the Kool-Aid permanent? I'll bet Lewis and Lee are happy as can be.
  14. Just ignore the lead. Be my pest.
  15. He really wanted to stay in Minnesota. Glad he is in SF. It will be a Cabrera/Pujols type of sad contract for the Giants. Plus, it will really be fun in Dodger Stadium when they visit. The crowd will be even more deafening than they have been when Correa is at the plate.
  16. Was there even ever a slim chance that Correa ended up in Minnesota? I guess, in some minds, there never is............ until there is. Kinda like the dog that never bites anyone... until it does. Verlander only needed a one year and then a two year contract. Kinda like the high dollar for Carlos Correa. In fact, the new 86.7 million (vesting option for a 3rd year) and last years 25 million contract for Verlander is only about 7 million more than the Correa contract was for 3 years, and he could opt out after one and two. Certainly if Correa was worth it, Verlander was and is worth it and maybe a bit more to outbid. So even though it was a condescending rhetorical question, I would actually say the answer, and say it is yes. Certainly always...... at least ........ a slim chance.
  17. I guess one could say that there was never a point in which Carlos Correa was a realistic option for the Twins, either. But then he was very real. Enough money always makes any team a realistic option. And free agents only need $, and no players/prospects. (Not that I think Rodon will be a good long term bet.) I see our rotation as all question marks. All of them for various reasons. If that is depth to ride with, we will need a ton of luck.
  18. Kirilloff should just offically change his name to Killeroff and make it more "twinslike" and easier for the fans.
  19. SPEND THAT POHLAD MONEY!! DON'T STOP NOW!!!!!! PITCHING PITCHING PITCHING!!!!
  20. After they didn't buy Verlander, I don't really care. This FO likes to wait until the main course has been taken off the table and nibble at the cold sides. My bet is that Rodon has had his light shine as bright as it ever will, and he will tank from here on out. Maybe one good year left. But he has not proven he is a durable starter at all. Verlander would have been better to have than Correa last year (for the $ especially) and the next 2. I bet the contract Rodon signs will be a total albatross for whoever. That said..... SPEND JOE SPEND!!!!! Get the best pitching you can, and sooner than later.
  21. Kepler for Volpe. We need another SS prospect. Trading Kepler before we see how he does with the new shift rules feels awfully short sited.
