    $8 million to Pineda. $620K to Berrios. The inadequacies of the Players' Union's agreement. Pineda was the 4th starter at the beginning of season, no? I hope he continues to pitch better. Both he and Perez need upgrades for a playoff run, I think. They woud be great depth.

    Regardless of the LOB, this game had 2 more errors, and 4 more unearned runs. Even with the lack of hits with RISP, this game would have been won with the 6 runs if the defense was MLB worthy today. And the ball Rosario didn't catch doesn't even show up in the box.

    Umpire wanted to go home. 4 hours is enought for him. Like a court judge, concerned more about his dinner.

    Comments are a direct reflection of this particular game. I don't see anyone at all not enjoying this team or this season. What are commenters supposed to comment on in a game thread. All the other games, and not this one?

    Cruz can whine, but he let 2 big slabs of meat go right past him. Man those first two pitches looked juicey.

    The plate ump should be required to defer automatically to the first base ump on the check swings. He has been going to first for the call several times this game all on his own, but with Sano..... and it was no swing. Maybe a strike, anyway? Looks like it.

    One swing and we can have a tie game! Might have been nice to played the game like you could win it with the pen choices now, eh?

    Funny how a single observation for this game becomes a blanket statement about the year here. This is your thing, not mine. Have at it if you like.

    Morin could give up 10 runs, and all would be unearned. Then in the future, a sportswriter would say (and they would, just like the beginning of the season with Hildenberger) .... He has been great! His ERA is only 1.20!

    I hate hate hate that umpires are still guessing the balls and strikes.

    Not getting any runs on 3 times with the bases loaded ..... how many with only 1 out? Can't remember. Don't care to look. The game could have turned big time ............ and had nothing to do with the pitching.

    Baldelli seems to have the pitching plan for this game and is not going to adapt to what is happening.

    Well, 2/4 today with 2 ks. Ks have been brutal, though, with the pressure on.

    The ordained "quality start". A 4.50 innings eater ERA is quality? It has taken hold, for sure, but I'm not buying.
