  1. Baldelli saving them for a possible game 5, of course.
  2. Perhaps going where he was told by the analytical brain trust? Maybe? Possibly, he does what he is told?
  3. Yup. No team needs an outfielder that hits .280, has over 30 dingers, and over 100 RBI. What a horrible player. No team needs to put up with that.
  4. I believe the only stat that matters at all once the playoffs starts...... is the score. Is runs. Nothing else matters. Not in the least. Only scoring the most runs in each game. That determines if you out played the other team.
  5. I can't wait for all the ...... "it was a great ride", "no one expected this team to do what they did, anyway" blah blah blah, etc etc etc etc etc..... that is coming....... It really is remarkable that this organization fails so horribly in the post season. Truly remarkable.
  6. I can't believe Baldelli isn't saving Rogers for a possible game 5!
  7. I'll give you up and middle (even though it was about at the 2/3 point past the half way toward the outside of the zone), but not up and in.
  8. Because we needed god brought into this. Who brought that up?
  9. Sure. I'll spend my copious spare time finding ways to give the yankees' players credit, especially Gardner. I will leave that to you. Both are fair observations, I guess.
  10. because, if, being omnipotent, they would have so little to do... they would watch and care about baseball. right.
  11. They shift to the right, and then pitch up or outside. Sure seems not very analytical to me. It is like you forget that you have decided to shift, and pitch to let them get a hit anyway.
  12. First of all....... ALL THESE GUYS CAN HIT! They just need to do it in the next three games. To suggest that Kepler can't hit is just not true. This team just needs to do what they are capable of and perform, and not embarass themselves or their fans any longer. Every other team in the final 8 have earned respect now, except our Minnesota Twins. And remember, the Yankees owned the Red Sox, year after year, after year after year after year, and were again ahead 3 games to none, and became the only MLB team to ever lose a series after being ahead 3-0. Nothing would be sweeter than taking the Yankees out after trailing 2 games to none. No doom and gloom for this game before it even starts. All future and no past. One at a time. It may as well start tonight. Let the doom and gloom wait until it is earned for this game. It could very well be a waste of time.
  13. First pitch from Littell. Right down the middle. That's learning.
  14. What are they gonna talk about? The Twins' offense is giving them nothing to talk about.
  15. 4 hits off of Yankee pitching. This is one fearsome Twins' offense on display. Sure our pitching sucks, but this is a major inability to step up. I really thought the offense would not be so inept.
  16. One would like to think Baldelli learned from it, eh? They will be now sooooo rested they are rusty if they even get in a ball game. In the playoffs, you only play to win today. Unforgiveable, really. I bet their butts are sore from sitting on the bench so much.
  17. Very progressive of you. Better years late than never.
  18. I wouldn't have bet on Pineda, anyway. The bullpen had a good second half, too. This is the playoffs. Not the same. I am not buying in on Pineda just because of a couple of months.
  19. And on the flip side..... we have a single hit against Tanaka.
  20. Nats pitch Strasburg in game 2, Dodgers Kershaw, Astros Cole, Tampa Snell....... and we get an Uber driver. It really is like a sit com.
  21. So instead of bringing in a reliever that the Yankees have'nt seen yet, Baldelli goes to Duffey, who they got to already see last night. Maybe later in the game, but ill advised here me thinks.
  22. Seems pretty simple for any professional organization to notice, eh?
  23. Are you referring to the Yankees..... who had a truly incredible rash of injuries? Or the Twins, who had relative few.
