  1. Better pinch hit for Buxton. Righty righty.
  2. Duran gets 7-8-9. No excuse to not knock them down 1-2-3.
  3. Amazing fat Tellez could even jump that high.
  4. All 3 two out hits...... pitches right down the middle. SMH.
  5. ....... because, maybe, he struck out 4 of 6 ABs, his only hit was a lucky bloop, and played pretty bad defense (no error scored, but missplayed off the right field wall at least once I can remember). But he definitely didn't really get much of a shot.
  6. They have had every opportunity to do that. They DH him the next day. They can do that here. It is better than just what they are doing with Bader. Wallner could pinch hit in a the second day. It is NOT defensible. FREE MATT WALLNER!!!!! It should be a great game to watch on Apple TV+ tonight. Going to have to use two screens.
  7. Castro looks uncomfortable at any position on the field, but he has the gloves.
  8. What? This is the best out of Royce Lewis? If it is Bader's doing, keep him away from Lewis!!! 😇
  9. Managing by letting them manage themselves. Managing by not managing. I guess Baldelli truly isn't needed. Maybe somebody else should be making the lineups and pinch hitting and bullpen decisions, eh? Maybe then Correa would be ready for the season when it actually starts, instead of taking a month or two. Maybe he actually needs some managing to be ready at the start of the season. Maybe then they team wouldn't sleep walk through the first month + of the season at 13-20, and at least play .500 ball so when they win 13 in a row they are actually at least 13 games above .500 instead 6 (and now 5 after back to normal and 4-5 since). Maybe.
  10. What a waste have rehabbed Wallner with St. Paul. Even more of a waste to not recognize it by last week and have him up to play in Tampa's minor league home field. Is he even in Seattle? I am sure we could use him there. Process my .......... And Crash Gasper? Just can't get it to translate. A shame, really.
  11. Julien can take his stoic 'watch called third stikes' to Korea or Japan. Miranda? Too bad about the injuries. But he sure could hit when he was young. 26 is not young. It's prime time.
  12. It's an illusion. I am certain he said he doesn't do slumps. It must not be a slump. That might be even more troubling. It's hard as a fan to be an under .500 team since the 13 game streak. Seems we have wasted a hot Wallner. Seems like the muscles work the same whether you play in AAA or MLB. Same legs, same bases to run. Same swinging motion. No problem to play a day and sit a day and be available to PH. Bader sits and isn't even on the IL. I mean, it's not like he would be damaging himself or the team to get worked in on the better maintained MLB fields instead of minor league fields...... oh, wait.......
  13. He is also out of the inning if he helped himself and fielded his position for the double play instead of Mead's batted ball going through the infield and putting a runner on second and first. Would it have been a great play? Probably. Funderburk had time to squat out of the way. Maybe he thought Correa would be right behind second, and forgot it was a right handed batter...... Routine for Maddux or Kaat or Drysdale - because they actually fielded their position. All that righty/lefty crap that took Topa out of the game (needed 2 outs from lefty/righty/lefty), and before the 3 fly balls to forever embarrass Larnach, three righthanded batters in a row and now Baldelli Ball is trapped with the lefty on the mound and didn't want to burn another pitcher being behind by one run? Even the first lefty got a hit off Funderburk, though. Watching the bottom of the 8th over again..... I hope Larnach just couldn't see well, because that was some amazingly poor defense. That was an awful turn of events. I bet Larnach wakes up with nightmares and hot sweats all night.
  14. There goes the all important "run differential" and "power ranking". But seriously, this is also a product of the righty/lefty religion. It starts at the plate, and then it results in the moving around of the defense. They want "flexible" defensive players, because they substitute hot batters for the righty/lefty sacred strategy, and the defense suffers. Sure, they can play there, but the ones they move around are less than MLB average almost everywhere they play because of it, Did I check that? No. But it sure seems that way. That was a depressing game, and now 3-4 in last 7 games. Can't even hit Littell........ currently Lewis is a huge liability.
  15. No runs scored again while on the mound, but he gets credit for them. He was "deGrom'ed" did I spell that rite?
  16. Damn. Losing record in last 7 games. Will be 3-4. Streak of good breaks and good play is absolutely over.
  17. Pretty cheap way to try to win a game, all in all.
