    It makes sense to figure out what teams need and second baseman and do they have excess pitching. An example the Braves have Dan Uggla (.8), slow, poor fielder, getting kind of old hits homeruns. So they want to upgrade and think Dozier (2.5) is the guy. What do they have that matches up war wise with Dozier? Julio Teheran (2.2) is close. Does anyone think the Braves make that trade? Anyone else have an example that might work?

    "All these "wait another year" responses seem to overlook a (not unlikely) possible scenario: What if Rosario struggles in Triple-A next year and Dozier regresses big-time in the majors? Then we're all looking back at how the Twins failed once again to strike when the iron was hot." If that happens then we have the same black hole again, and the likely scenario that who we trade for also struggles. It would seem like re-trying Dozier at short makes sense, if only in spring training. If Rosario is ready and Dozier can't make it at short Rosario is likely a better option than Hermann or Parmelee in the of. We need good position players, at this point we have few at "the major league level". However, I understand we need good starting pitching but would any team trade a top pitching prospect for either of these guys right now? They might next July.

    A Ryan question, where do they sit on spending the allowed Int. signing money? I know he spent some of it but I thought a lot was still left. Ryan said he'd spend it all, just wondering.

    4-0 isn't bad looks like Diamond has got things figured out, he's a very good AAA pitcher and we are expecting him to be a good major leaguer. Silly us!

    3. I think about how sad my life must be that after 3 years of really bad baseball I keep coming back for more. 4. Think about Gardy usually getting tossed from games like last night, sitting in his office feet up drinking a beer instead of watching. He's a much smarter man!

    I vote for a better team to watch and find out what happens on game threads.

    Mauer should play about 150 games at first next year. Reasons why: 1. He is taking longer than expected to recover. 2. Spending any time catching will increase his chances of getting another foul ball related concussion. 3. Another concussion could end his time as a productive player while still eating up 1/3 of the payroll for the next 5 yrs. 4. My hope is the Twins brass isn't so stupid as to take that chance!

    I would think the "doing the same thing over and over and...." would come into play at some point. Can you really sell what we have seen to season ticket buyers anymore? Can you get fans excited sending out the same cast of characters (manager and coaches) again next year? Not sure dumping a few coaches again this year will cut it.

    Sanchez signed last winter for 5yrs $88m. He is a solid pitcher certainly our ace/best starter. I have no idea how this guy would compare with Sanchez but my guess is $15m a year will be needed to sign him. IMO that will never happen for two reasons: 1. Terry has never even come close to spending that much on a FA 2. Nishi do they really take a chance for a lot more money ending up with Nishi 2.0?

    My worst guess is that he will sign 2 pitchers in the Kazmir/Hughes mold spend about 15 and the patroll will end up about 70m. A questions somewhat related did Ryan spend all the Int. singing money he was allowed?
