  1. Yeah, I have to believe that rule is not for actual free agent deals (spycake? Help us out?) If he hits the "free market," which shouldn't actually be too free because the Twins would have the most interest in signing him and presumably he'd be most interested in staying with the Twins, he can sign for whatever amount he wants. Though if this renaissance continues, I doubt it'll be the few million that some here have suggested. But that's probably a story for another day...
  2. Edit: was supposed to be in the game thread for today. But I too am concerned about Buxton...
  3. This didn't add up, so I checked the box, and it looks like Keaton Steele went two, but they weren't scoreless. He gave up 2 in 2.
  4. Polanco's got 9 home runs on the season. Seems like 6 of them have been in the last 15 minutes or so. Whatever's gotten into him, I hope it sticks around.
  5. Also, did Kepler field both of those with his bare hand?
  6. FWIW, the Spanish announcer did the same thing. Apparently it looked very well hit from the announcers' box.
  7. Lock him up before he does this for a whole season at a time!
  8. Agreed. As if Minnesotans needed another reason to despise the winter.
  9. But then he would have to pitch a fit and force Molitor to put his name on the lineup card. Uh oh. Can of worms?
  10. And hell, if he keeps bunting like that every time, he'll hit .500.
  11. Yeah that head shake at the end by Colon says it all. Buck made a non-easy play look real easy right there.
  12. 1. Lame, but very possibly true. 2. Yes to the first. Probably not 3 three years though. 3. Three gold gloves. According to some quick and dirty research, for about 40 years they didn't specify, but now they give one to each of primarily left, right, and center fielders. Interesting.
  13. I have never known that to be the case. Then again, if you criticize any player (and I do mean any player; even Gibson still has apologists lurking about), you should expect pushback. Not to mention that some criticisms are more valid than others.
  14. Wow, he looked good 20 years ago. You could even say he was a little sexy.
  15. Extra chickens tonight because we beat the team from Wisconsin.
  16. Nope. If it were me, I'd 100% rock the stirrups.
  17. I kind of like the fact that he's clearly not checked out of the game. I pretty often feel like Bert is, although to be fair, he might be less so in the ninth inning with a lead.
  18. You know, it was kinda funny seeing the pitcher trying to hold the phantom runners. But with the three errors tonight, I'm not sure we should make too much fun of fundamentals.
  19. Hey, we'll take it. Sure haven't been getting hits with guys on third, so... take what you can get, I guess.
  20. That was laughably bad fielding by the Brewers. Good to know we don't have a monopoly on that.
