  1. I'll be watching the Twins game. I lost my interest in Pro Football shortly after that 4th Vikings Super Bowl loss. *SOS -- you could throw Olive loaf in the midst of the sausage and salami! (Yech...)
  2. My prediction for this series. Twins go 3 for 4 ending the weekend at 12-13. Not quite able to get over that .500 hump.
  3. Getting there: Seth Stohs retweeted Chris Fee ‏@CJFee · 8m8 minutes ago Red Wings Aaron Hicks currently on an 11 game hitting streak. (3-5 today) Hicks is batting .400 (16/40) w/ 9 runs, 5 RBI's & 7 BB #MnTwins
  4. Thanks for digging up the 3 incidents!
  5. I see he's another player from the Dominican Republic. Wasn't MLB going to do an investigation? The names just keep piling up.
  6. No problem with saying he's bad at throwing out runners (or that his his ability is regressing). He's at about 1/2 the successful percentage he had at times in the past and about 10% less (18% vs. 28%) than league average. It's just that when it is "hasn't done that yet this year" about anything, that really tends to grab people's attention so it Gladden and Provus need to be accurate. (And BRef could still be wrong or I could be reading it wrong).
  7. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/suzukku01-field.shtml Either I'm reading this wrong (along with ash, I think) or Gladden/Provus are wrong. It looks to me like Kurt is credited with 3 "CS" (caught stealing) while FIELDING (18%). He has not been caught stealing while on the basepaths so on his batting page, his CS is 0 because he apparently hasn't attempted to steal. This is still a low amount and BRef could be wrong or I could be reading it wrong but until someone shows me that, I'll believe that Gladden/Provus were just wrong and that this "stat" should not be repeated.
  8. Today, a little better judgment may have led to Schafer pulling up and playing the ball off the wall instead of running into the wall and not even coming close to cattching it. But the biggest buffoonery was the meeting on the mound with no one catching the ball. It was pretty unbelievable.
  9. I think we are seeing things differently because I'm an optimist -- especially in the spring -- and you would just "like to be more positive."
  10. In this case, it doesn't make any difference whether the recipient was male or female. The idiot should be outed for being a pervert, sending this type of photo (regardless of the website). We lecture teens, young adults to be very careful about sending photos even to their partners and that what they do/say/send over the internet may come back to haunt them. I see no reason to apply a lower standard to adults. What an idiot this man is.
  11. In a way, this series has been good because it shows that the Twins can play with the Tigers. In another way, it has been very disheartening to see that they just can't get over the hump and close things out. (Not talking about you, Glen Perkins).
  12. Good thing last night's game was only 2:40. We'll need it to even out today's.
  13. The Tigers make it look so d*mn easy.
  14. Well, Phil Hughes may have provided a temporary solution to this dilemma by straining his hip flexor tendon today.
  15. I'll repeat what I said earlier. I HATE DP's when the Twins are batting.
  16. I don't make up his excuses, I only post them Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino · 4h4 hours ago Molitor has been trying to "protect" Graham of late. Hasn't worked in 8 days: "I might have been a hair aggressive with him" early on.:
  17. I saw something earlier today that says he thought he overused him early in the season.
  18. The uniforms today are white with Blue Pinstripes. Unless MLB.TV is recoloring everybody's uni.
  19. Tyler Mason ‏@FSNtylermason Phil Hughes left today's game with a mild left hip flexor strain.
  20. Tigers must not have worked their butts off in PFP.
  21. This is ridiculous.
  22. Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino · 3m3 minutes ago You do wonder about Hughes' fingernail issue after early removal. That's always a possibility in these (mildly chilly) conditions.
  23. OMG, I can't fathom 4 of them. In my younger years we had a male and a female that fought so badly my mom had to take the male to work with her. But if you could bottle the energy, you'd have a great product. I like French Bulldogs, too. But I grew up with Bostons -- plus a variety of very mixed breeds.
  24. I get so tired of getting a lead and then giving it away.
  25. I don't think so. The general tweeting consensus seems to be "after 70 pitches and a long half inning."
