    Parmelee hasn't play an inning in the outfield all year in Rochester. The situation was different 2 weeks ago... Parmelee was expected to primarily be a bench option, but he ended up starting because span was out for longer. Carson would not have been sent back to Rochester if not for Diamond throwing at Hamilton's head. At this point, Parmelee will likely play and he's only missing like 6 Rochester games instead of 22. Magic # to be eliminated , according to standings I saw, is 2, so the Wings are not likely to get to the playoffs anyway.

    They'll have to make a decision on PJ Walters, too, who is still on the 60 day DL. That rehab time has to be over soon.

    "But if he's saying he won't pursue any decent starting pitching at all, fire the guy. Right now. That's the type of statement that is so completely illogical that it makes me want to scream. This team needs four starting pitchers. FOUR. You're not going to assemble four guys by pulling junk like Pavano off the heap and giving him innings. You might get one guy that way. No way in hell are you going to get four. Or even two." Thank you. MORE fans need to realize this.

    Uhhh, then what exactly is the plan? Wait? Bargain dumpster diving Attempting to make a trade to tweak the awesome roster HOPING guys get better. That was this year's plan, too.

    Except the Twins keep throwing money away year after year. Decision making on personnel has been spotty- at best.

    No to Vasquez, 2 spots on 40 man open Rosario only out today, Sano sat SAT....just days off I believe What to do with PJ Walters? His re-hab time has to be about up. He's still on the 60 day DL. My preference would be to leave him there, end his year without adding to the 40 man, and add Vasquez, leaving one spot open.

    Top Gun, I can understand where you're coming from. Morneau,though, is likely gone, either via trade in the next year, or Free Agency. The Twins will probably continue to use Mauer's contract as a crutch in spending any money on pitching, and TRyan has already said they won't spend in Free Agency. Have no idea why. Probably because they're constantly throwing big money away on poor decisions. I would have probably felt this way a couple years ago. No longer. The Twins need help in numerous areas. With Mauer/Morneau, they're not contenders next year unless they hit the bullseye on every deal / transaction. It's too bad they've buried themselves like this(the Twins). Great players/longtime Twins that have no chance at a ring here.

    GCL Twins won 4-1 today, Murphy 3 hits/2R HR(2) 6th straight win, tied with GCL Boston(who they beat today) for first. 1 game left on the schedule, and it's with Boston Saturday morning.

    Yeah, it matters that he stay at 2B and progress fast. I don't like to nay-say, but I am surprised that he won the award. Is there really no more productive hitter in that league!? Hyper-valuation of batting average or something? Romy J would have contended for POY if he'd not missed time. The league leader in hitting had 4 HRs and 28 rbi,compared to 1/21 for Pimentel, and only stole 3 bags vs Pimentel's 16 Adam Walker's 14 HRs leads the league. The sluggers are not putting up outstanding AVG and are below 1.000 OPS Jimenez played in 37 games so far with outstanding #'s but has missed too many games, else he'd be right there.

    72 losses if they fail to rally, and with 2 hits, that's likely. and over a week of August games left. Sigh

    According to the Twins' site, PJ Walters is still on the 60-day DL. So if they activate him, that's one roster spot on the 40-man

    Dice K 1-hit the Twins AAA affiliate over 8 innings. MN could make him their big off-season acquisition
