The Twins are 4 games under .500, and at this point,I refuse to believe re-adding Clete Thomas is going to make that much, if any difference in their fortunes. Thomas failed badly last year when he had an opportunity. Stay the course with Hicks.
Six straight multi-hit games for Rosario, 3 doubles, a triple and HR of the 16 hits in this run. Average has jumped up to .344, .421 now in his last 10 games,.383 OBP. Only 28 strikeouts in 189 official at bats.
Finally, a good night for Rosario WED, 5/29, in 10-3 FM win 3-5/double/Solo HR(4)/2R/2RBI Impressed with Dougie Baseball, has left him in the 3 spot through thick and thin.
I think it's time for Hicks/Arcia to head to AAA. And/or Parmelee. Not much that can be called up to help. Colabello is a start. Give him a lot of at bats.
Not much to report. .316 in last 10 games, 4 rbi's. Still hitting .336, OPS of .886 3rd in FSL in runs scored(28-Sano #1 at 33), 8th in SLG, tied for 2nd in triples(4), 9th in OPS. Very solid season continues.
Quick blog on Rosario/Sano from Star Tribune. Indicating Rosario will be out a couple more days. Minors update: Sano, Rosario, Gibson, Buxton | StarTribune.com
Don't have the link, but it was on the first pitch and Gardy bemoaned he was too far back in that situation. What happened to the take charge SS who could have stepped in and taken care of it?
Things might be coming full circle, though Gardenhire doesn't seemed inclince to step down as TK did. Just don't extend him. Problem solved Steinbach/Dougie baseball as mgr for the future!
As long as people keep living in the past; Gardy's won division titles, manager of the year, blah, blah, blah. And it IS about him. Same goes for his forays onto the field to get tossed over calls.
