That Luis Castillo trade was a bad one.
  2. Top Gun
Ya, they would laugh at you.
  3. Top Gun
No, they should try every means to sign him first, they will not find anyone better.
  4. Top Gun
The #1 starter is suppose to stop a losing streak, so we shall see.

OFers are a dime a dozen.
  6. Top Gun

  7. Top Gun

Jason Marquis turned in a strong outing in Sunday's victory over the Dodgers, allowing just two runs on six hits over his six innings of work. Marquis walked three and punched out two in the game. After allowing an RBI single to Andre Ethier in the first inning, Marquis stepped up his game and shut the Dodgers down until a Jerry Hairston RBI single in the sixth.

They might have ruin Duensing for the pen too.

I'm sure the Padres would take Blackburn in a heartbeat, a few other teams would too. SP are hard to come by. As for Gardy he has to take some of the blame, he is the manager and his team hasn't played well in two years.

It all starts at the top!
  12. Top Gun
I thought this was going to be about what the Pohlands put on the field after we built him target.
  13. Top Gun
14 hits and 3 runs says it all.

According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Angels have interest in acquiring Francisco Liriano from the Twins. The Angels are seeking an upgrade to the back end of their rotation with Jerome Williams and Ervin Santana struggling recently. Liriano is coming off an impressive 15-strikeout performance, is very likely to be moved before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline and would be a nice addition to the Angels' staff. Morosi also notes that the Angels have interest in Twins closer Matt Capps.
  15. Top Gun
Hendriks can't pitch stats prove that.

Reds acquired RHP Todd Redmond from the Braves for SS Paul Janish. It's a nice get for Cincinnati, considering how expendable Janish has been since the arrival of young shortstop Zack Cozart. Redmond, 27, had a 3.58 ERA and 96/28 K/BB ratio through 105 2/3 innings this season with the Braves' Triple-A affiliate in Gwinnett, Georgia. He'll presumably join the rotation at Triple-A Louisville.

Zack Greinke turned in his fourth straight rough outing on Friday, allowing five runs on seven hits over five innings in a no-decision against the Pirates. Greinke struck out six while walking two in the game. He was in line to pick up his third loss of the week until the Brewers rallied late to take him off the hook.

How many SP do we really need? You can only pitch 5!
  19. Top Gun
Maybe Revere would bring more than Span on the trade market and we should be thinking of trading him instead?
  20. Top Gun
Maybe he should mop up a few games in the Twins bullpen first to get use to pitching at the major league level?

How many SP do the Twins need? We already have 10 +!
  23. Top Gun
Liriano is about as close as the Twins will ever get to a #1 SP, so why trade him. It will take 20+M to buy one so that won't happen.
  24. Top Gun
    I'm so ready for baseball.
  25. Top Gun
    I would take Desmond.
