  1. Defense starts with spring training, Gardy better start practicing that.
  2. Play him in front of the home crowd, let's see what he can do!
  3. Ramos has done nottin.
  4. Never get any of them, the price would be just too high. I would take Barney for Blacky, Pavano & Capp, Hehehe....
  5. I would trade any OFer I could for a Young SP! I would prefer to trade Willingham & Parmelee for a pitcher like Drew Pomeranz. Then sign a FA like Liriano or A. Sanchez. Let's see how they do the rest of the year in our division.
  6. Good for him, gives Dozier a little rest. Maybe we can give Alexi away next.
  7. I hate this trade too, it sucks, more OFers less infielders says it all.
  8. I would rather have Butera on the bench than in the lineup. The 14th pitcher!
  9. Nottin wrong with Twins SP as Twins win again!
  10. Mauer power turns on one!
  11. After Sept 1 the roster expands, so most teams don't use the dl anymore.
  12. Baker? who know if he will ever pitch again. High hopes!
  13. Dodgers acquired RHP Joe Blanton from the Phillies for a player to be named player or cash considerations. The deal was agreed to after the Dodgers claimed Blanton off waivers this week. While the Dodgers didn't end up acquiring Ryan Dempster before Tuesday's trade deadline, Blanton isn't the worst backup plan. The 31-year-old right-hander has a 4.59 ERA and 115/18 K/BB ratio over 133 1/3 innings this season. And while he's served up 22 homers, at least Dodger Stadium is a more forgiving home environment than Citizens Bank Park. He should be useful insurance for the rotation as Ted Lilly works his way back from shoulder issues. The Dodgers will be responsible for the roughly $2.9 million left on his contract. Aug 3 - 4:34 PM
  14. According to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com, the Dodgers were awarded claiming rights on Phillies' left-hander Cliff Lee. We've heard plenty of speculation about the identity of the claiming team over the past hour, but the Dodgers made the most sense, as the new ownership has plenty of money to spend and have already shown that they aren't afraid to make a big splash. The Dodgers now have three days to work out a trade with the Phillies, but Morosi and Jon Heyman of CBS Sports are both hearing that a deal is seen as unlikely. The Phillies have the option of pulling Lee back from waivers and keeping him. Source: Jon Paul Morosi on Twitter
  15. Gray had a great game and the win!
  16. That's baseball, the manager got to see the young players hit the cutoff man, throw to the right base, put out the fires, learn to pitch 7 or8 innings or they won't be around long to make the big bucks and so is life.
  17. I remember it well, those were the fun times in basball, the way baseball was suppose to be played.
  18. The manager got to be a fan of the player too and the player gets paid for saves. just look at Mo & Paps.
  19. The Twins no. A playoff team for the final push yes. Phillies would want something in return.
  20. Gardy wanted the win! no lead is safe at Fenway.
  21. A big win for the Twins! Now keep it going.
  22. September can't come soon enough so we can have a expanded roster.
