  2. I'll let you know how it turned out.
  3. You wouldn't remember it, but Steptoe and Son was remade as Sanford and Son in the US. Different emphasis because of the talents of Redd Foxx but did quite well.
  4. This is more unnerving about what it bodes for the future than the present.
  5. He could use some humiliation.
  6. Seems like a sharp guy. And loveable.
  7. John Oliver on our 3rd party hopefuls...
  8. Fresh hot cornbread with honey butter.
  9. My dogs can do that while simultaneously napping and eating.
  10. Much like Chief is in The Guinness Book of World Records for uttering "Get off my lawn."
  11. I last went beardless about 1992. That was a mistake. No mo'. Listen to BBC radio daily as my favorite world news source. BBC America is first-class TV network as well, although I could use some more Doctor Who reruns. Bloody Amazon.
  12. Here's another one. http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-reasons-trumps-rise-that-no-one-talks-about/
  13. The correct answer is of course to swing the Senate and let Sanders and Warren be in charge.
  14. Now that you mention it, I've never seen Molitor and Brent Spiner in a room at the same time.
  15. I think it's the length of the playoffs (to fit TV schedules and not compete with football) that's introduced that problem.
  16. If I recall there is some verbiage in the CBA that may limit the number of those. Also, if one of them got rained out it could create a real pickle.
  17. I suppose ultimately my heroes look like this: And this: But I think the Obama family has represented the country with distinction, and I would thank them for their service. And continue to hope there will be chances to thank them again in the future.
  18. Thanks for the gift, Bark. Here is one back I hope you like. It's a story of evolution. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/the-white-flight-of-derek-black/2016/10/15/ed5f906a-8f3b-11e6-a6a3-d50061aa9fae_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_stormfront-658am%3Ahomepage%2Fstory
  19. Happy Birthday, Mr. Harper.
  20. I'm down with that. I'd also eliminate parties, and age and native-born citizenship requirements from consideration. And ultimately, the implicit requirement that the candidate be human. Again in the future, Watson or some more advanced form of AI may actually be the best leader for the country, if not the planet. If we're going to arbitrarily chose what should or should not matter to voters, let's not do the job half-way.
  21. Gardenhire - Anderson 2020. They can put a gnome on my lawn.
  22. Steal the bride and find out if she can channel Helena Bonham Carter.
  23. My suggestion is to eschew conversations with toxic people. Easier said than done, I know.
  24. Ah, and it's zombie pub crawl tonight. I fully expect Mr. Vanimal to participate.
