  1. Did I hear someone say Rally Avatar?
  2. Most guys, too. And the ones it doesn't, you should be concerned about.
  3. Did the Brewers not have another lefty to bring in for this situation? I see someone named Gorzelaannneeeeyyyyy or some such who is marked with an L. Already used Gonzalez, no other lefties on the roster. I guess there do exist righties who know how to pitch to lefties, but it still seems strange to be that much tilted one direction.
  4. They can do that? This strategy needs to be added to the Twins playbook.
  5. I can kill a man at twenty paces. Or bring a dead one back to life. It's that potent.
  6. No no, this was my prediction. And it stunk. Next time I'll have to remember to hold my breath while wishing.
  7. Seems to have driven away Parmelee's ability to drive in a run, as well.
  8. All right. Florimon steal a base. Parms drive him in. Let's see if I've got Halitosis or whatever superpower RB claims he has.
  9. "If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant’s life, she will choose to save the infant’s life without even considering if there are men on base." -- Dave Barry
  10. I have a sixth sense too. It's just that I lack the other five.
  11. You should watch a game sometime.
  12. This is really stupid, making the pitchers bat in place of the DH. They should end the experiment.
  13. In 1957 there was a movie about a woman named Eve, who had three. Is this what you mean?
  14. I looked just now at his overall K rate, and it seems to be dropping steadily - nearly 50% of his PA the first horrendous two weeks, 30% the following week when he started getting walks, 25% for a while after that, and now hovering more around 20% the past three weeks. He'll probably always strike out a lot, but at this lower rate I'm less concerned about whether strike-three in particular is looking or swinging.
  15. Sad that Hicks might benefit from chatting with the Florimonster on getting better wood on the ball.
  16. Judging by most nights, that is the rest of us's job.
  17. In that case my earlier post may have been redundant. Never mind.
  18. Then you should do what I do. Don't mix them.
  19. Does anyone have access to something that tells if Hicks is back to taking third strikes a lot lately? That would take him back to Week 1, if so.
  20. And just like that, Dozierzie comes through with a bingle.
  21. To borrow from Jim Palmer: the only thing Mr. Buck Ninety knows about big-league pitching is that he couldn't hit it. / edit: oh, I guess I really should say it: Tim was actually a pretty decent hitter
