    growing up, my alltime fav is still WGNs Steve Stone/Harry Carey as they could be as big a cheerleaders as anyone, but wouldnt hesitate to criticize the team if they needed to. Set my level for announcers pretty high.

    1991s McCarty failure keeps everyone from remembering that MNs 2nd 1st rounder (27th) was 1B Scott Stahoviak!!! OUCH Not signing 1993 first rounder Jason Varitek (21st...one pick after Torii) and missing on supplemental picks 33/38 Marc Barcelo/Kelcey Mucker make that a frustrating first round. 1996....Travis Lee wasnt a bad pick, just bad front office work 1998 pick of Ryan Mills was bad as 22 of first 28 made the majors First round picks AFTER Moses in 03...Aardsma, Billingsley, Barton, CQuentin, Adam Jones Last 10yrs, I think MN has done well with their first round picks....just not much after that

    like that MN is playing Colabello in RF to add some versatility.....wish they'ld also mix in some LF Never hated Justin, but cant wait till he's dealt so Colabello/Arcia can get playing time in MN

    Hicks hasnt put his 'time' in to warrant a promotion. Its not about production w/MN....its about fitting their model

    what happens to Wilkin Ramirez when he gets healthy? They wont DFA Clete IMO, so Wilkin just lost his major league spot (he also is out of options).....not like he truly earned it (made it mainly due to his bein an interperter) & Mastro will eventually be back to eliminate em both

    I am a big proponent of BABIP but Rosario's isnt high considering his actual BAve. BABIP for others Morales .402 for .302BAve Sano .416 for .335BAve Vargas .309 for .287BAve Buxton .386 for .333BAve Hitting .340 for Rosario in FSL is pretty impressive, as .345 is highest in FSL in last 8yrs.

    Wasnt meant to succeed but he was forced to skip Eliz & Cedar Rapids and still can have success. Terry Ryan, do you see this!!! How bout trying someone else!

    Don't feel bad for Burnett....if he was better, held stick with an organization. He's making between 3-4k for every mlb game he's active. Believe the checks clear in Tor, Balt, or CHI better than they do in Syracuse, Des Moines or Rochester

    The reason I think it could happen....obvious 3B lack of depth....is frustration with Plouffe defense in short term. Gardy's not a platoon guy so that's why I doubt they will, but this would work great. My #1 reason to think its possible is they havent announced a player yet when they could. Now I get that either way its since they have to DFA someone & cant announce someone till a roster spot opens. If ATL just releases Francisco, it would be a solid move to just sign him to a AAA deal to push DRomero and/or give ya some minor league depth.

    Difference with Komatsu is he wasnt/isnt a MLB player. Francisco is or is at least a solid/fringe player. I got the Borbon refusal as they wanted Hicks to take it over. I would love this move, esp w/Clete staying in AAA & possibly DFAing Butera......WIN WIN!!!!

    Eddie Rosario now hitting .344. Highest anyone has hit in FSL since 05 is Stephen Voights .345 in 2010. Vargas also now leads FSL in RBI w/48 11 gms till FSL All Star Break also, so promotions are coming soon.

    Would welcome Clete under these circumstances as he will be his usual self in MN & play himself onto waivers as he's out of options.

    Not saying Angel is a MLB starter, but a 4th/5th OF with some power/speed can carve out a decent career. Needs to do it at AA this year tho to get any consideration. Time to promote & see.

    ROC plays Monday while Twins are off......whomever it is wont be in the lineup. Does MN even have enough OFs left in AA/AAA to risk promoting one?? Angel could get promoted to New Brit as he was out of lineup today.

    Seems every year there is alot that need to be protected, but Morales for all purposes takes Benson's spot on 40 man. There is a lack of AAA/AA OF depth (i consider Arcia a MLB player) that makes it easier for him

    Twins have reversed the stolen base problem as they are tied for 3rd with only 26 attempts against & 8th in CS w/35% Dozier/Florimon have played great defense also, big difference from past 2 yrs. Not a fan of looking @ errors for defensive tracking but their UZR is far improved. I say they've almost done it with mirrors as nobody other than Mauer has been impressive. Bullpen as a whole has been solid but how long wil that last at the rate they're bein used/overused by Gardy's reluctance to let pitchers go deeper.

    dont think losing Walters/Deduno/Pelfrey to injury is gonna get us worse.....what Im hoping for to improve!!!

    As for ROY, Hicks is helped by a very poor rookie crop but despite his HRs/RBIs this yr.....is no way the writers would vote for a guy hitting in the low .200s (if Hicks hits .275 the rest of the year @ 340ABs..173 so far after 1/3 season..he finishes at .240) Profar/Myers type players will easily win with FAR less ABs as writers still like BAve. Doesnt mean that he's not an ascending player. Thought his defense has been mediocre myself. Im not impressed by web-gems as much as others in rating defense. I want the basic plays to be made all the time & he's misjudged far too many balls that fall in.
